Where is the transmission sensor located?

The transmission sensor or speed sensor is located in most vehicle located on the transmission case. These speed sensors are driven by a gear located on the output shaft. The speed sensor's driven gear can be either machined or fastened by a clip. The driven gear is made by plastic to make it softer than the drive gear. It's located on the end of the vehicle speed sensor.

I need to chang my speed sensor in my and i can't locate it

The VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) is on the outside of the transmission case, it goes where a speedomenter cable used to go on older models using mechanical Cable driven speedometers. It is about the diameter of a large magic marker and has a 2 wire harness connector. Below you will see a picture of it. Please note: you must be under the van to locate this, please use jack stands to support the van while replacing/checking the VSS, NEVER USE A BUMPER JACK TO SUPPORT THE VEHICLE!!.

How to change the speed sensor

I assume you know the location of the sensor if not, it is located on top of the transmission unit. Disconnect the wire connector, unscrew 2 screws holding the speed sensor the you are done.

How to change Idle Speed Control on V70 2.4 with pictures if possible.

The idle speed is contoled by the throttle assembly. If you change it with a new one, you will have to have software downloaded into the vehicle to make it run (you can't use a used unit). You will need Volvo's Vida system for this. If you still want to do this, let me know and I will send you all the info you will need.

Abs light and brake light stays on, speedometer does not function below 20 mph

The problems you are describing will relate to the vehicle speed sensor. All these things need input from it to function correctly.
As your speed increases the voltage generated increases as well so it may develop enough to operate your speedometer.
I need a little more information to give specific details on where it is on your vehicle.

Need to replace the ABS switch on '95 Ford E350  29 ft. RV.   Where located?   Is it just a 'swapout' of parts or is there more to it? Wintergreen75

there is no actual switch, there are speed sensors on the wheels and a contoller on the brake valve.have it put on a scan tool that can check abs systems to find out what needs repair.good luck.(did you check you fuses, fuse location and discription is in the owners manual, see index in the rear)

1986 300zx failing low speed NOx emissions test in Texas. Changed cat converter and egr contol valve. What should I look at next? All other checks are OK

these cars are known to have injector failures and that would make you fail a emmission test easily. also i would reccomend looking at your oxygen sensor.
