Question about 2002 Lexus RX 300

Lexus rx300 check engine/ vsc light

My check engine and vsc lights come on whenever it is cold or rainy. They seem to be fine on warm sunny days. I have read the solutions and checked alll of the suggestions but everything I checked seems to be OK. It has done this since i bought it almost 3 years ago. The dealer said it was just a sensor and he would replace it but it is such a long drive to where I bought it that I could not get back there. I can fix it myself if I had a clue where to look. Thanks Same issue

Vehicle Stability Control is part of the ABS function and is probably due to moisture on the brake pads when not used for a while.

Why is my lexus rx300 vsc and engine light on?

Usually means there is a hard fault code in memory.
Go to your local Auto Zone and have the codes pulled and give them to me.

VSC warning light and check engine code 786 on Lexus 2002 RX300

The VSC warning light, Trac Off and check engine is probably an easy fix. If you look under the air filter/cleaner box there is probably a rubber hose that has been disconnected from a steel line. This is common if you have had the oil changed recently, the tech will check the ail filter and doesn't realize the hose has been disconnected.

Lexus RX300 engine light n VSC light comes on

VSC means Vehicle Stability Control.

It comes on when the sensor send a signal that the vehicle is not stable on the ground.....check the wheel balancing and alignment and the air pressure of your tires too.

Good luck.

My lexus rx300 had the engine and vsc light on also.

The ck engine light is not triggered by just the o2 sensor. Is this a new vehicle? 5 or 6 times for the same problem and unseccessful? Hmmmm I belive the lemon law says the dealer has 3 attempts to correct the problem and of course federal emmision standards are more than likely not in compliance. Want another lexus?

VSC light and Check Engine Light On at same time 2003 RX300

need to take to a toyota or lexus dealer to find out what the code really is. the vsc light comes on every time the check engine light comes on. aftermarket scantools sometime will not give the proper description of the code that is present.vsc light is a vehicle skid control light. and do u mean o2 sensor.

VSC and check engene lights on/ lexus RX300 ,

These lights come on for several reasons, but often in relation to air fuel mixture. First, if you recently filled the tank, go back and unscrew and re screw your gas cap until it ratchets . If you are low on fuel, fill the tank with premium and see if the light goes out over a day or so.. If it all goes out you are fortunate.

If you continue to see the light, have a dealer or qualified tech, scope the car and reset the lite In all likelyhood you will need one of 3 sensors.
For my money I would ask the dealer to reset and give you the info identifying if it is sensor 1 , 2 or 3 and point out where it sits. Then just buy the part and install. The sensors are like changing a spark plug. They are visible but EXPENSIVE.
The other possibility is you might have a dirty throttle valve needing some carb spray inside where the snorkle hose attaches from the air cleaner to the throttle itself.
Again the dealer should identify the cause unless you have tester for the ECU.You dont want to replace the wrong sensors because a friend said that was THE one he did.
Mine was the front, right near the rad, but I know the mechanic and he is a friend who showed me the readouts and the test procedure while he worked.
I had previously cleaned my throttle valve and still had to replace to sensor 3 weeks later, but my fuel economy spiked when it was done.
