If it look like this its the esp light it means you have a fault relating to that need to get a diagnostic check done, there is nothing you can do i,m afraid its a dealer or specialist job.

Dreaded three warning lights, brake, abs, andtraction triangle sometimes on sometimes off. Help!

No different or troubling than any other vehicle issue
or fault

When you start the motor & ANY dash light stays on or comes
on when driving, you check for OBD Codes within a day or stop
using it,that simple

Once you have the codes & google them, to see the possible
fault or ask the questions about the codes at a repair shop, you
have a shop diagnose the vehicle to see what the problem is

It has been that way for 15 years--1981 thru 1995 & more
recently another 20 years 1996 thru 2015

So I fail to see why 90% of the vehicle questions even come here

No one cares to educate themselves apparently,really-- 34 years--
in the learning !

No one owns or read an owners manual

Hate repair shops also, I guess, they must take your money
& do nothing, why else do people ride around for months &
do nothing !

THis morning I noticed 2 triangles, car inside with swiggly lines but the left side triangle had a spanner next to it outside. I drove for about 20 miles, stopped to purchase something then when I...

{: ) The two triangles you saw is for the StabilTtrak system,, sometimes called the traction control indicator. When you see a spanner beside it, it means the system needs servicing.
StabiliTrak will turn off automatically if a problem is detected in the system. For vehicles without a DIC, the StabiliTrak light and the StabiliTrak service light will both come on. If the StabiliTrak service light does not clear itself after restarting the vehicle, you should see your dealer for service.

Triangle with car and skid marks behind car and a triangle with wrench both dash board warning lights

{: ) These triangles you saw is for the Stabilitrak (traction control) indicators. Normally these lights should be off after the engine has started, unless you disable it by pressing the stabilitrak button. Sometimes it lights up automatically when driving under certain road conditions, and will turn off later when normal conditions resume. A wrench beside the triangle indicates a fault is detected on thge traction system and it requires servicing.
What you can try, stop the vehicle, turn ignition off for a few seconds to reset the system, and then restart the vehicle. If the lights wont go off, then tghe vehicle really needed to be checked right away.

Okay, this car has been giving me alot of problems. Currently I am experiencing a starting problem with the vehicle. This seems to occur when the engine is warm, yet sometimes even then it starts...

HI, I had the same problem about 6 months ago. Replaced the coolant sensor as you suggested and it fixed the problem. (about £15 from a local shop - just click the old one out and the new one in, reset the warning lights with a friends VAG and the lights haven't come back.

I still get some idling problems (revving from around 600-1000 rpm) when sitting still and the engine is warm. I read also it might be a blocked air line or cam shaft much to look at!

I'll never go back to Audi though. £100 for a diagnostic and they didn't tell me anything I didn't already know but sometimes I guess you just have to bend over and take it ;)

Beetle warning light come on

This is your ASR Light (Automatic Slip Regulation) If it blinks that means the system is preventing wheel spin. If it's constantly on, the system is either turned off, of there's a malfunction in the system. If no other lights are on the dash, it could be a faulty brake light switch. There are a DOUBLE recall on this part. Ever had it done ??

On a 1998 3 series (E36) BMW, this indicator lamp is for the ASC+T = automatic stability control plus traction. It should go shortly after the ignition is switched on implying that the system is OK.
If the indicator lamp fails to go out after the engine is started, or comes on in the course of normal vehicle operation it means that the system has malfunctioned. The vehicle remains operational, but without ASC+T. You a have an 2001 3 series (E46), but I suspect the indicator lamp means the same as the E36 3 series. Look in owners manual under "indicator lamps"
