YOU HAVE 3 BUTTONS ON THE DASH (RIGHT HAND SIDE) YOU WILL HAVE ONE WITH A SPANNER (BUTTON A) AND ONE THAT HAS TWO 00 (BUTTON B).....HOLD A,SWITCH IGNITION ON,RELEASE A.PRESS B UNTIL DISPLAY CLEARS..MAY TAKE A FEW GOES BUT YOU WILL GET IT...

In 2006 BMW developed what they Condition Based Service (CBS), this means even when you change the oil and filter, the only way to reset the service indicator is to take it to the dealer, to be hooked up to thier computer. I have the same problem, I am waiting for some aftermaket code breaker to be developed to fix this problem. Hope this helps, let me know.
Yes the HOLD light comes on when the computer detects a malfunction with the transmission....one quick flash of the hold light means a 01 code. six quick flashes would mean a 06 code. 5 long flashes would indicate a 50...6 long flashes would indicate a 60 code. Hope this helps.
Fixed service intervals Press and hold button [A] 24297. Switch ignition ON. Release button [A]. The words "SERVICE" or "SERVICE IN xxxx MI" will appear in the trip recorder display. Press button [B] until the display clears and is replaced with the new service interval or "SERVICE!". Switch ignition OFF.

Note: the Service Reminder Indicator displays 3 messages: OEL, IN 01, and IN 02. These display to alert the driver to follow the items listed under the manufacturer's service interval.To reset the message displays, turn the ignition switch on. Press and hold the odometer reset button "A" located below the speedometer. Turn off the ignition while holding the button. "OEL" will display on the indicator. Press and hold the lower digital clock reset button "B" until five dashes appear in the display.
