Question about 1999 Mazda 626
While driving the temp gauge goes beyond hot, but no steam or noise, so I turn on the heater full blast, it goes RIGHT BACK down! But, even tho the heater is still on, the gauge goes up then down...it scares me as I dont' want to blow the engine or something. I only have like 75000 miles on the car, so it's almost like new...ish...been well taken care of, but this is intermittent and I cannot seem to figure it out. I wouldn't think it was the thermostat, because that either works or it doesn't, so if it went out, it would stay out...but, what could it be?
