If you do not have the adapter then you need to buy the adapter. Those are lose wires made for trailers to power everything. You need to supply the adapter with the white box on it

We have a heavy duty tow bar so what is the towing capacity

How do I find my hitch system rating? Your hitch system is comprised of three components, the Hitch that is attached to the frame of your car, the Ball Mount (drawbar) and the Hitch Ball. Each component has a rating for capacity. The LOWEST rating of the three components determines the overall rating of your complete hitch system. For instance, you can have a 3500 lb hitch and ball mount, with a 2000 lb ball. Your hitch system is limited to the 2000 lbs towing capacity.

We had a hitch and quick connect wiring installed from Uhaul. All the lights worked up until yesterday and then all of a sudden we have NO brake lights. Could it be a fuse or wiring issues?

PLEASE read this entire post before proceeding. // Check to make sure brake lights in your _vehicle_ are also not working. If they _too_ are not working, then it is most likely a blown fuse. If the brake lights in your vehicle _do_ work, and it is only the trailer (or whatever) not having brake lights, then the wiring is the problem. Either way, the solution is the same (other than in the first scenario you are _also_ going to replace the fuse)... There is a reasonable probability that the wiring connector is loose or otherwise not making contact. Physically disconnect it,then check both sides for corrosion. If corroded, it needs cleaning (or bring back to Uhaul). Next check for _loose_ connectors. If loose, either (carefully and only slightly) crimp them closer (or bring back to Uhaul). Lastly, if everything seems ok, but brake fuse keeps blowing, it is because of additional lighting being added to the circuit. It _is_ safe to place a fuse one step higher into the fuse panel. HOWEVER (_very_ important), if your vehicle is newer, and you have LED type braking lights, it is possible that the Uhaul system is not compatible with your vehicle.

Do the 2009 Nissan Frontiers have a turn signal flasher? I had a 2'' ball hitch installed and when attaching the boat trailer to the hitch the trailer turn signals don't work. When they hooked up the boat...

check for signal ground, this is not a metal ground, use a test light or volt meter to see if they at plug before you plug in the trailer, you may need to rewire the trailer.

Hitch wiring

You will need to get the little plastic adapter that you can just squeeze onto regular factory wire. You will only need to use one side.

Tow bar wiring

You need a Trailer Light Power Module - Uhaul, or anywhere that sells hitches and accessories. The module will power the lights directly from the battery - it still hooks into your car's lighting system, but only for sensing purposes, it doesn't put an extra load on the lighting system.

Here's an example from Uhaul:

Hope this helps :)

Wireing fronter hitch 09 uhaul

You should have a adapter that is located under the dash next to where the passenger right foot would be. Once you remove that panel you will see some wires with clips on them. Then in your system you have there should be a wire with a adapter on one side and a white box on the other

2007 Nissian Frontier trailer lights

There should be a 30 AMP mini blade fuse in the fuse box under the hood that you are probably missing. I assume that since you got the relays with the wiring kit, that you got the kit from a Nissan dealer. If that is true, there should be a fuse in the kit also- in a sealed bag that has the "trailer wiring harness owner's manual" in it.

Hope this is helpful!
