TPS is Throttle Position Sensor and Its Purpose is to Tell ECM What You Are Demanding of the Gas Pedal , it Senses Where the Gas Pedal is --
Reflash= Relearn that is When A NEw Sensor or ECM Controlled Component is Installed and ECM Must Relearn the Electrical Values of Components. To Relearn you Must Do the Fallowing.
Turn Ignition Switch On and Leive it on for 10 minutes then turn it off for 30 Seconds then turn it back on for 10 mins Do this a total of 3 times totaling 30 minutes ALL Without Starting Engine Just Turning KEY to ON Position.

Where is the TPS sensor located,2004 Nissan Titan 5.6 v-8

The 2004 nissan titan is drive by wire, meaning there is no cable to control the gas pedal to throttle.
This system is computer controlled with a motor at throttle body and pedal sensors.

the TPS throttle position sensor is located inside the throttlebody . on most of these the complete throttle body must be replaced as there is no sperate tps sensor it is complete,
i would check and make sure this is the problem . GM started making TPS replacement sensors for there throttle bodies.

2003 intrepid code p0068

Good Morning,

Sorry for your problem, But i am here to help

Here is what the sensor normally means, It's a map/tps sensor correlation code, essentially it means the map sensor reading isn't what's expected with the tps reading and vice versa! It sounds like your tps sensor is probably bad or the circuit to one of those 2 sensors.

I hope this helps. Thanks Mike

What does it mean when my car goes into engine fail safe mode?

It mean that the PCM received a bad reading from one of the sensors
most common fix would be
Either a bad flash in the PCM or a bad PCM or a bad TPS
go to the dealer and have them fix it
only the dealer can flash your PCM
also have them check the throttle body
and be cairful when they get that code they have a tendency to just stall out

Dodge durango p0123

A P0123 code means that the computer has detected that the TPS (throttle position sensor) is reporting too high a voltage.

A code P0123 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
  • TPS not mounted securely
  • TPS circuit short to ground or another wire
  • Faulty TPS
  • Damaged computer
If there are no symptoms, the simplest thing to do is to reset the code and see if it comes back.
