Question about 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera
I changed the ignition switch then tested the old one, the old one was fine and so is the new one. Oh well. When we turn the key on, no instrument panel, no radio, no windows. Of course proceed on to try to start not even a bit of noise at the solenoid. The battery is at 12.2 volts. Clean battery terminals. I am guessing another relay or something of that sort. Check fuses at interior. I am generally pretty good at this sort of thing but now I am humbled. Not a hero to my daughter today.
Located on collum under dash is a box with a harness attached also has a rod that enters it when key is turned the rod should move if this happens try replacing the box it may be bad. the rod is suppose to move and that selects your acc on run and start modes for your vehicle i've replaced a few with same problem
