I dont have a tilt colum. But what do you mean ( I would pull out one of the headlights and check in on your battery to see if it is burned out)?

dimmer switch is defective, this is part of the turn signal switch. This assumes the bulbs are good.

Either both of your low beam headlights are burned out or you might have a bad dimmer switch. I would pull out one of the headlights and check in on your battery to see if it is burned out (you could also check for continuity of the filaments with a multi-meter if you have one). sometimes trucks with tilt columns have broken wires in the column where it flexes as you tilt the wheel (usually high mileage vehicles or ones with loose columns). good luck

The headlights on my 84 chevy pickup are not working properly. When lights are on, and set for low beam, my driver side low beam does not come on - the passenger side does. When I set the high beams,...

You have lost the ground, evidently on the left side. The lamps act that way because one of the lamps is grounding through the elements of the other lamp.

Could be that your high beam light's are burnt out and need to be replaced. When you say the the switch is new you mean the lever on the stearing collum is new right?? Good luck

My headlights are not working, but shows my high beams are on

Low Beam Fuse may be bad.
Low Beam relay position is bad.
Stalk that controls the high/low beams/cruise/lights is bad.
Low beam filament may be bad in both headlamps.

1984 S10 head lights

The switch could be out. Under the dash their will be a pannel that covers the stering wheel shaft remove this. On the top of the shaft their will be two bars that go down to a box, one is for the ignition the other is the high beams. Replace the box that the light switch goes to. This should fix ya.

Please contact me if your problem presist.

Thanks, Charlie
