Question about 2003 Jaguar S-Type
03 Jag S-Type: AC usually runs fine, then all of a sudden starts blowing hot air. Same occurs with AC off and vent air all of a sudden blows hot. After turning off the engine and restarting, all is okay -- for a while, then it all starts again. Replaced the 3 temp sensors but problem still occurs. HELP! Summer is on its way and we live in Florida! This has been going on for a year and Jag service and Euro Auto service shops are befuddled.
On the passenger side of the engine compartment near the radiator you will see a coolant control valve that has heater hoses running from it to the heater core inside vehicle. This is probably going bad.You can clamp off the hoses with some pliers while it is acting up and see if this stops the heat.If it does then it is probably bad.
