Three in front of the moter, and three in back. Front are fairly easy to locate just follow the spark plug wires. Rear plugs are a little harder but can still be done by following the plug wjre.

Check the wire harnesses around the exhaust cross-over. Many have found degraded wires there, as I did. The cover is held by Velcro. Also change your spark plug wires, especially the rear ones.

Does the 2002 Chrysler Town & Country have a rear differential? or is it a front wheel drive?

They are all front wheel drive and some have an all wheel drive option, so yes it could have a diff in the rear.

How do you change the rear spark plugs on a 3.8L

With the upper intake phelm off all the tunup work is in plain view. Make shure the wires are good as it's a good time to change them with the phelm off. Many times if your careful removing the phelm the gasket can be reused.

1998 town and country trying to change spark plugs in back

You need a hoist. Even with a hoist I could not get out the passenger side plug in the back. If you try you need swivels and several LONG extensions. Good luck

Tune up on cown and country (chrysler)

I just changed the rear spark plugs on my 1997 Chrysler Town & Country this weekend. It took me about 7 hours to do everything. When you replace the rear spark plugs, its a good item to replace everything i have listed below. Listed below are the items i changed while i was in there:

Valve Cover Gaskets
All 6 sparks (the rear are the hardest) I used the Bosch Plat. +4
Intake manifold gasket (only cost $3-4)
Throttle body gasket.
Air filter
Spark Plug Wires

I also bought some throttle body cleaner and sprayed the throttle body to clean it out. When the throttle body is dirty your van can stall.
I took pictures of everything i took apart, which i can email you to help you out.

Thank You,
Nip
