2005 dodge noen cam sensor

the p0325 code pertains to a knock censor. the p0340 is for your cam shaft sensor. i've had this problem before. try replacing the cam shaft censor first and run the codes again to see if the other still comes up. it should fix the problem. hope this helps

I would say there is a good chance one of the cams is off a tooth or two.
The cam can be off enough to cause the cam sensor to send the wrong signal to the computer but the engine will still run.

Does the car run? If it doesnt run it may have slipped time.If it does run, use a scope if available and check for a weak or erratic signal from the cam and crank sensors. The cam sensors routinely go out on these cars but a bad crank sensor can cause the code also.

The cam sensor is located on the back of the head(transmission end)

The camshaft position sensor on the 2.0L is located on the rear of the cylinder head and bolted in place. It's been a while since I had one off but I believe you have to line up a dowel on the sensor with another piece [magnet] that is driven by the camshaft. Not to hard to do, just note how all the pieces come apart and make sure everything goes smoothly back together. Don't force anything. Sometimes the old sensor will show some wear from the cam pushing against it which is normal. I haven't done one on a 1.6L however so I can't help there any.

the cam sensor definitly can cause the problem. pull the trouble code and make sure the check engine light is for the cam sensor. if so, replace it and retest

I could be wrong but look for a cam sensor shaped thing at the back of the cylinder head (left side relative to car)
