Will a 97 blazer rear end fit in a 98 blazer

As long as the trim and model is the same I don't see why not. I assume you're talking about what used to be called the S-10. There's only been 2 real generations of the blazer which changed in 94. There were a few cosmetic changes between the 97 and 98 but all in all it's the same vehicle.

97 blazer trans fuse shorted out truck won't start

In many instances one of the solenoids for the lockup converter or other wise will short out inside the transmission and since they are usually direct power you will get a surge back through the line and it can blow fuses. I have had them blow the fuse to the stereo which is direct wired to maintain memory for the stations and clock. Trace the lockup wire, disconnect it, replace all blown fuses, check for all locations and then try starting the motor. If it runs then you need to have someone service the trans and change the solenoid that is shorted. This will not be able to be done at a quick lube shop, it must be a transmission shop or automotive shop.

I have a 99 gmc Sierra 1500 with a bad transmission will the transmission out of the 97 bravado or blazers be good to replace it ?

Not if a Blazer or Bravado have a 60 degree motor or
a different trans bell housing bolt pattern

Your going to have to google that info for yourself

Having owned a trans shop ,I would only rebuild what you
know fits & has worked for years

Clean it up & do all updates & you got a new trans, not a used
junk unit from something else

WILL A 93 S10 4L60E FIT A 97 Z71

There were changes made to that transmission in 1994 so the answer would be no. It is also my understnding that both were used in 94 so you have to be careful there as well. If I remember correctly there should be a letter or maybe number cast into the case where the torque converter fits.I think you will find it at about the 10 o'clock position. If your trans has it you have to put that style back in. If it doesn't you can't use it. Hope this helps.

Will a 2001 4.3 fit a 95 4.3 I have a 2001 Rolled s10 blazer w a 4.3 and an automatic trans will this fit and work in a 1995 s10 blazer that had a 4.3 and an automatic transmission

Yes it will but your going to have to also transplant the ECM. The change off years to the Blazers are 1992 to 1995 and interchangeable, 1995 being the odd ball year for the 4.3, and in 1996 to 2002 are all drive-train interchangeable. Good luck and keep me posted if you have any more questions.

It should work for you as long as there both 4L60E transmission, but take not there were a few changes to the transmission case and everything internal are the same. The key distinction of the Later 4L60-E (1997-2006) from the Early 4L60-E (1992-1997) or 4L60 (1990-1992) or 700R4 (1982-1989) is the six-bolt "hex" rear output or tailhousing / adapter pattern. The previous versions featured a four-bolt square bolt pattern at the adapter or tailhousing. Additionally, the removeable bellhousing is also another distinguishing feature. The Late 4L60-E transmission has a three piece case of cast aluminum alloy; bellhousing, main case, and tailhousing. GM shortened the package to 21.9" long - equivalent to a manual transmission of 15.4". Good luck and you should not have any problems swapping out the transmission.
