    I have a 2007 V70 T5 and I get this message "PARK
ASSIST SERVICE REQUIRED" from time to time. I always keep the sensors clean. What's the bulletin saying about this? I called Volvo and they said that it could be either one or more of the sensors that are failing or that the controlbox got moisture in it and need replacement.

Take it back to the dealer. There is a Technical Service Bulletin on the wiring for the Park Assist.

It sounds like the repair is not complete. I would suggest taking it to first the place that did the repair and if they do not help go to the dealer.

The dealer has rewired the Speedo sensor wires however the speedo still does not move when driving. were does one start look to see why it is not working

if the dealer was paid to fix the problem and its still not working i assume when you left the dealer or shortly after then take it back they should fix the problem that they were paid to fix.this is the first place to start.they may not have rewired it correctly and what was the reason to rewire the sensor, was the sensor no good did they install a new plug to the sensor etc.

The park assist service light comes on when i start the vehicle. i do not have an owners manual to reference.

{: ) The driver information center (DIC) displays SERVICE PARK ASSIST when the object alarm module detects a malfunction in the parking assist system and the system is disabled. The DIC also displays SERVICE PARK ASSIST when a loss of communication occurs with the object alarm module. Usually this is caused by faulty components or wirings. Better visit your dealer if still under warranty, for one park assist sensor only costs too much. If your bumper had been knocked off or had previous repairs outside the dealership, that's another thing.
The PARK ASSIST OFF message is displayed in the DIC when the parking assist system is disabled due to conditions that disable or inhibit the system. The object alarm module requests the DIC display PARK ASSIST OFF when it detects one of the following conditions:
• The parking assist system is manually disabled using the driver information center (DIC). • An object is attached to the rear of the vehicle, such as a trailer, bicycle rack, trailer hitch receiver, or tow bar. • The object alarm sensors are covered by snow, mud, dirt, slush, or ice. • The vehicle bumper is damaged, • Excessive paint thickness on a replacement object alarm sensor. • The object alarm sensors are disrupted by vibrations, like those caused by a large nearby vehicle or from heavy equipment such as a jackhammer.

My park assist warning come on while driving for no reason

You can take it to your Jeep dealer and have the service department try to flash the computer. This may fix it. If not you will need to purchase a shift control module. They are about $ 590.00. This is a very common problem on the Jeep Cherokees and Grand Cherokees. Hopefully you are under warranty still. If you ignore this problem this is what will eventually happen: You will be driving down the road and your vehicle will not want to go over 15 mph and it will shift erratically. Do not wait to correct this problem or you will regret it. Yes it is a very expensive part, but a computer in itself that the vehicle needs to function correctly.

2005 Lincoln Navigator. Message says to Check

Most likely the problem you are experiencing with the park assist is a fault in one of the sensors mounted in the rear bumper. I would not consider it to be a major fix, however there will be a few hours labor involved as the bumper cover needs to be removed to replace the sensors.

The led panel over the rearview mirror says that the Parking Assist is disabled but I cannot enable it following the instructions in the owners manual and it doesn't reset when the ignition is turned off....

I had this situation too, exactly. Everybody told me it was probably a rear bumper sensor gone bad, but at least in my case, no such luck. It was the Park Assist Module, basically the control computer for the whole system. A new one fixed it, but was about $300.

What does "service park assist system" mean on my 2008 jeep?

The park assist system detects objects 59 inches or less in back of your vehicle, to warn u so u don't strike the object. I'm guessing that since the service park assist system comes on in the ice and snow, the monitor is detecting something (ice and snow covering the sensor). If u clean off the snow and ice, the message should shut off.
