One of the belts in my 2000 chrysler sebring jxi convertible hisses as soon as I start the engine and Im wondering which one it is. It is the closest to the oil well.

Not sure which belt it is without looking at engine. Because of year and being you don't know service records I would replace all belts. The timing belt is in side the engine that usually just breaks without warning. The hissing could also be the air conditioner compressor which I think is controlled by that belt

Show me a picture of the water pump on a 2000 Chrysler Cirrus LXI

The pump is part of the timing components. You only want to do this one time. So replace all the timing components. You don't have to replace the crank or cam gears.

At what mileage am I suppose to change the timing belt on my 2000 Chrysler Sebring Convertible?

Your engine should be a 2.5L V-6, Chrysler recommends timing belt replacement every 60,000, also timing belt drives the water pump, not bad idea to also replace, while in there, this is an interference engine where if timing belt fails, will cause piston to valve damage.Hope this was very helpful.

I need to know how to tighten the timing chain on my wifes 2.5 . It iis listed in the owners manual as a maintainance item Thanks, Rich

have never heard of adjustment.on the 2.5, but a timing belt should be replaced after 60,000 miles if it does not break before that. just to be sure, ask a person at a auto parts store or dealership to be sure.

Approx how much to replace the timing bell on 2000 chrysler 300m?

HI there. My water pump just went out on my 2004 300M with 85000 miles. My cost was about $400 to replace the water pump and timing belt.
I recommend replacing the water pump at the same time since you have to take the timing belt off to change the water pump.
$350 is a good price. The dealer will charge you double that.
