I assume that you do not have a "check engine" light?

The next thing I would do is check the pressure from the fuel pump. You can have this done at your preferred garage, or by purchasing a fuel pressure gauge from any parts store.

Vent the fuel tank vapors by loosening the fuel cap. Remove the electric fuel pump fuse and start the engine. Allow the engine to run until it runs out of fuel and stalls. After spinning the engine over for a period of 3 to 5 seconds, turn off the ignition switch and install the electric fuel pump fuse. Next, install a fuel pressure gauge in the fuel rail supply line, and secure the fuel tank cap. With the ignition key in the on position, verify that no leaks are present and start the engine. Visually verify the PSI reading on the gauge. The pressure for your vehicle should be 41-47 PSI (Pounds per Square Inch). Hope this helps and good luck!

sounds like your alternator. if you have a multimeter then turn on your car and turn your headlights on/ac and heater fan on high/wipers on and blinkers on. once they are all on hook the meter to the battery and if it reads less then 14 volts then the alt is bad. or you can just take it to a shop and have it tested.

On the 03-05 Cavalier instrument clusters this is a common problem, it's caused by failing stepper motors on the cluster's circuit board. It can be repaired though, check out this site for more on how to get it fixed - Cavalier instrument cluster repair

Car runs for a minit then stops

If you turn the key to the on position do not start the car and you have
no security lights that come on then it may be your ati-theft system.
to try and reset it just leave the key in the on position for ten minutes
or more or until you see security lights on the dash.

My daytime running lights work, high beams will come on but switch wont stay on, have to hold it. Low beams do not work and daytime running light dash indicator stays on all the time. Is it a relay or...

if you have to hold the switch so the high beams stay on then that indicates a bad/worn switch, you could have 2 problems the day time running light relay may have a problem with it.i would first replace the headlight switch at the base of the steering colume as by the info you supply its not changing to the high beam side without holding the switch in position.

2005 sunfire.. service light stays on and when you start the car it makes a clicking sound and the headlights flicker off and on. They should stay on but don't unless you actually turn them on.

the daytime runnig lights are inoperative, could be the module, relay or a bulb, usually bad wiring, go to cavalier daytime running lights on the web,, there you will get diagnosis directions

Daytime running lights and low beam lights not workin, fuse is fine. Replaced relay lights still don't work.

I just worked on a Pontiac Sunfire on a light issue. The driving lights are on a separate switch on a 2003 from the dimmer switch. Have you checked to make sure both low beam light bulbs for your headlights are not burnt out on low beam? Have you checked to make sure you have power to the low beam where the connector connects onto the bulb?

Daytime running lights are not working. The regular headlights are though. Is this any problem that needs fixing? Will the regular lights go out now too? The light symbol on the driver's side keeps...

First check all your bulbs.
Second if the bulbs are good, it might be the relay for the DRL or the headlight switch itself.
