1997 dodge intrepid heater/ac fuse keeps blowing

The heater/ac fuse on my 97 intrepid blows after 15-20 minutes of driving. when it blows the digital temp display goes blank and the defrost just runs on high. the only way i can stop hot air from coming out of the defroster is to pull the blower motor fuse. please help.

Same problem on 98 Intrepid ES.. Electrical always acted funky.. but this happened after locking the steering too tight one nite, and waking to dead battery
Problem might be in steering column/Ignition

I have a 96 Intrepid, and none of the signal lights work. I tried replacing the fuse, but this did not remedy the problem. Could this be a loose connection?

large leak in system, faulty low pressure switch, a/c clutch faulty, a/c compressor faulty, system clogged, fuse blown, wiring faulty. orifice tube clogged, too much air in system. read more here:

If you can unplug the compressor and put the switch in run forever and it doesnt blow then your compressor has a short in it and the car wash had nothing to do with this unless you can find water in the fuse block or relay block

What keeps causing the ac cont fuse to keep blowing on 97 lumina? If i disconnect the power to the compressor and reconnect it the fuse will last about 10 minutes. If I put a fuse right back in after it...

There is a short somewhere in your ac system. You may be able to find it if you can take the time to go through it. I would start with the ac control panel. Unscrew it from the dash and see if any wires are burned and touching each other.

94 intrepid keeps blowing rad fan fuse

the relays will not cause fuses to blow. you have a problem with the fan motor itself. replace that it should take care of your problem.
