Hi, when I switch the cockpit heater, there is a radiator fan that runs 100% of the time until I switch ignition off. I think this is normal that radiator fan runs for the Air Conditioner cooling system, but why Is it running when the cockpit heater is running ? Thanks Arnaud
If you you are running it in Defrost the A/C will turn on to dry the air thus turning on the Rad fan also check to see if your A/C switch is turned on.

SOURCE: test radiator cooling fans
Hello,
they should come on at app. 90 deg. celsius (190 F) .
It is a common problem with the beetle, the cause is a malfunction in the cooling control module.
The module is surveilled by the on board diagnosis system, so you should bring the car to the shop and let them run some tests with the diagnosis computer.
