If it is an automatic, replace the engine mounts and transmission mount, smooth shifting after that.

You fill it through the same hole you checked it. You need a funnel and add no more than a pint at a time of the correct fluid. You check it warm. I have no idea if getting the level correct will help the shifting, but it can;t hurt.

Trouble Speeding up; Engine light on;

Go to autozone, Oreilleys, or some national parts store. They will do scans for trouble codes for free. You will need an "OBD-II" scan. After you get the codes, post them here for further help.
I doubt if the lights and the engine trouble is related. You may have to get the fuel pressure checked, as a weak or failing fuel pump can cause stalling and lack of acceleration.
Not saying I know, but it may be the dimmer switch that needs replacing rather than the LCM. Does it just affect the headlights?

Now i dont know a lot about automatics especially modern ones with all this fancy electronics thats used nowdays but i think its a fault with the temperature sensor for the gearbox. But where its located and what it looks like i have no idea it could even be mounted inside the gearbox .Sorry not a very good answer from a mechanic but?? very few of our europeon cars come with auto transmission .Evan when i do know whats wrong i cannot buy the parts for the gearbox as only re-con boxes supplied by the dealer so best advice is to try a specialist in auto box repairs only .PS some of my best students when i used to teach mechanics many moons ago were the girls so no excuses like iam only a girl please

My 1995 saturn sl2 has a transmission fluid leak while it is in reverse from the bottom and sometimes doesn't want to go into gears right. what does this mean

I think you know that your car is not supposed to
have any leaks. All leaks have to be repaired

You also know that if the trans leaks, it will not
work correctly, as it is now doing, and if it isn't
ruined already it will be soon

You surely have been checking the fluid levels,
knowing your have a leak

If your planning on keeping it,plan on a
trans rebuilt in the near future

Need to tap starter on saturn sl2 dont know what it looks like, (im a girl)

go to autozone or advance website and look up starter for saturn. then you know what it looks like. find the thing under your hood which looks like it and tap it. it will be on the back of the engine, you will be able to see it best by hanging over the fender, with the hood open, on the driver side. forget about replacing it unless you have a lift and a good set of tools.

My truck is stuck in 4 high

First try backing truck up about 10ft put the transmission in neutral and try shifting into 2 wheel drive. (if this is not working use step 2)
2.(With truck OFF)
Well then first you have to go under the truck and look for the shifting arm coming out of the floor look on drivers side of transmission in between transmission and floor. You should see a lever or linkage going back to transfer case Spray with W-D40 or some kind of penetrate spray on everything that can be sprayed. I had that problem I had to use my leg to push the lever forward to get it back to 2 wheel drive. After spraying the whole leakage down with WD-40 start truck try working shifter back and forth it might take a little bit to get it to move.
