How to open hood BMW 328i 1997 cable snapped

Maybe you could check with three panel beaters on if the hood can be bent back or maybe they can spot weld onto the hood and pull it out. Like get three quotes and if you are paying for it like not insurance job or not let the panel beaters know when asking for a quote..

Does any of the e36 4 door hoods fit a 1995 325is coupe?

I think the sedan hood will fit the coupe, but you you should go to RealOEM.com and check the part number on the hood to make sure it is the same for both cars.

Replace All. Used would be the cheapest way. And keep hood all the way locked!

Replace hood support

NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the hood to replace the hood hinges. Hood hinges can be replaced one at a time.

1. Using a grease pencil or equivalent, mark the position of the hood hinge on the hood and body for the hinge being serviced.
2. Support the hood and disconnect the support cylinder from the hood.
3. Remove the bolts that secure the hood hinge to the hood .
4. Remove the bolt that secures the hood hinge to the front fender.

My daughters 1994 toyota corolla hood just blew off. i am wondering how much this will cost to repair and where to go to get one? If we can get a hood - My husband and son can put it on. . . .i think

Wow! That must have scared the heck out of her! Because the car is 16 years old, a new hood won't be available. Your best bet is to check a local auto salvage yard, most can try and locate one nationwide from other salvage yards, and have it shipped to them. Even that may be a bit difficult due to the cars age. Not a lot of demand for older car parts, so many yards crush up cars. That said, I still think you can find one, due to it being a common model, and many are still on the road. The problem will be the hood hinges. How badly they were bent, or damaged will not be evident until you try to bolt on a replacement hood, and have the job of lining things up, so it shuts properly, and is evenly spaced all around. Were the bolts attaching the hood to the hinges torn off? If they were, the bolts probably stripped the threads when yanked out. No way to tell from here, good luck on your project.

Car door problems

Check the hinges force the door open and check the hinge and hinge pins. If those are bent then they will need to be replace. Also besides banging out the door there is not a lot that you can do but take it to a body shop. So I would do the hinge thing first ALOT cheaper

Hood latch only works occasionally

First verify if latch release is electronically operated or cable operated. If cable, push the latching mechanism back and forth, verify that it springs back into place. Then look at the shaft that the latch hooks to on the hood. Check if one is bent or see if the hood is not properly aligned on the hinges. You might need to raise the latch assembly so it hooks sooner on the hood.
