Your most likely have an electrical problem behind the dash, but to be safe I would suggest going to a mechanic and have him/her scan the computer for any error codes, that will give you your definite answer. Once a code has been found, your fixing will have a direction.

Just a suggestion but my guess would be the engine control module. Usually when they heat up, the engine shuts down and when they cool off it works again, until it heats up again, then poof. I sincerely hope that I helped. Best wishes.
