  2. Remove engine cover and bracket.
  3. Evacuate A/C system.
  4. Remove accessory drive belt.
  5. Remove cooling fan and fan shroud.
  6. Remove charge air cooler outlet hose to intake manifold.

  9. Using special tool VM.1055, remove high pressure injection pump sprocket retaining nut.
  10. Install feet from VM.1067 in injection pump sprocket as shown.
  11. Install inner flange of special tool VM.1067 on injection pump sprocket as shown. Secure flange to feet in injection pump sprocket with Allen bolts supplied with tool.
  12. Screw the high pressure injection pump sprocket holding plate assembly into flange of VM.1067. Using left hand threaded bolt supplied, secure holding pl
  13. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section. CAUTION High pressure lines deliver diesel fuel under extreme pressure from the injection pump to the fuel injectors. This may be as high as 23,200 psi.(1600 bar). Use extreme caution when inspecting for high pressure fuel leaks. Fuel under this amount of pressure can penetrate skin causing personal injury or death. Inspect for high pressure fuel leaks with a sheet of cardboard. Wear safety goggles and adequate protective clothing when servicing fuel system.

  16. Remove charge air inlet hose.
  17. Remove the EGR airflow control valve from the intake manifold.
  18. Remove high pressure injection pump to fuel rail high pressure line.
  19. Disconnect high pressure injection pump quantity control valve electrical connector.
  20. Disconnect fuel supply and return lines at high pressure injection pump.
  21. Remove alternator to intake manifold bracket.
21 Remove high pressure injection pump retaining nuts and remove pump.

Care must be taken not to bend the brake vacuum tube when removing high pressure pump.

Po193 is registering an unpassable emission reading. What should we do?


This fault code is indicating a fault in your fuel rail pressure sensor. It is a very common fault with this model, usually just replacing the fuel pressure sensor that is located on your fuel rail will fix the fault. Here is a discription of it and location:

The Injection Pressure Sensor (IPS) :

  • is attached to the fuel injection supply manifold.
  • uses a replaceable O-ring seal.
  • senses the fuel pressure of the fuel injection supply manifold.
  • is referenced to the intake manifold vacuum.
  • sends electronic signals
REMOVAL

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Battery.
  2. Relieve the fuel system pressure.
  3. Disconnect the fuel line from the IPR.

Disconnect the IPR electrical connector and the vacuum tube.

  1. Remove the IPR.
    • Remove the bolts.
INSTALLATION

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure. NOTE
    • Before installing the IPR, inspect and lubricate the O-ring seal with clean Super Premium SAE 5W-30 motor oil XO-5W30-QSP or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSS-M3C153-G.
    • Hand-tighten the bolts before applying the final torque.

Dose a 2000 taurus lx have a single or dual port fuel injection and is the coil pack for one cylinder or is it a pack for all cylinders?


depends on the type of engine. DOHC engine has coil on plug ignition system where the OHV has a coil pack with spark plug wires going to it. Both engines only have one fuel injector per cylinder.

Ive gota 2006 audi a4 sline when a oil pressure light came on it stil drives does not rev over 2000 revs and throws alot of black smoke owt what isit


Black smoke is a sign of excessive fuel, there is something wrong with the fuel injection or one of the sensors which is sending an incorrect signal to the unit, perhaps it is still inn start enrichment. The oil pressure switch could be linked to the start system and the switch is either faulty or the engine oil pressure is failing.

Check this procedure about V8 3.9L Fuel Injectors - Removal & Installation
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, please familiarize yourself with safety procedures.
  2. Relieve fuel system pressure.
  3. Remove or disconnect the following:
    Negative battery cable Engine appearance covers Fuel lines Fuel pressure regulator Fuel cross over elbow Fuel injector connectors Fuel injector clamping plates Fuel injectors
To install:
  1. Install or connect the following:
    Fuel injectors. Use new O-ring seals. Fuel injector clamping plates Fuel injector connectors Fuel cross over elbow Fuel pressure regulator Fuel lines Engine appearance covers Negative battery cable
  2. Start the engine and check for leaks.

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, please familiarize yourself with safety procedures.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
    CAUTION The engine appearance cover is equipped with a noise suppressor. If the noise suppressor becomes separated from the engine appearance cover it must be positioned on the intake manifold prior to installing the engine appearance cover.
  3. Remove the engine appearance cover and the noise suppressor, if detached.
  4. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe.
  5. Release the fuel system pressure.
  6. Remove the four engine appearance cover mounting bracket nuts and the brackets.
  7. Disconnect the fuel pressure sensor electrical connector from the sensor.
  8. Disconnect the fuel pressure sensor vacuum connector from the sensor.
  9. Disconnect the eight fuel injector electrical connectors from the injectors.
  10. Disconnect the fuel temperature sensor electrical connector from the sensor.
  11. Disconnect the fuel supply tube retaining clip from the fuel injection supply manifold.
  12. Disconnect the fuel supply tube spring lock coupling.
  13. Remove the four bolts and the fuel injection supply manifold and fuel injectors as an assembly.
  14. Remove the fuel injectors from the fuel injection supply manifold.
    CAUTION Use O-ring seals that are made of special fuel-resistant material. Use of ordinary O-ring seals can cause the fuel system to leak. Do not reuse the O-ring seals.
  15. Remove and discard the 16 O-ring seals from the fuel injectors.

To install:
  1. Lubricate the new fuel injector O-ring seals with clean engine oil before installing.
    CAUTION Use O-ring seals that are made of special fuel-resistant material. Use of ordinary O-rings can cause the fuel system to leak. Do not reuse the O-ring seals.
  2. Install sixteen new O-ring seals onto the fuel injectors. Lubricate the O-ring seals with clean engine oil prior to installation.
  3. Install the fuel injectors and clips onto the fuel rail.
  4. Install the fuel rail and injectors as an assembly. Tighten the fuel rail bolts to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
  5. Install the remaining components in the reverse order of removal.

What kind of engine?


it use a voltec system,it has one inyector inside intake manifold and 6 yets from it,to each cylinder.its a continus fuel injection system,its a litter complicate to explain it.fuel pressure regulator is inside manifold too.
