Question about 2007 Chrysler 300 AWD Sedan

1 Answer

2006 300C - Shift is locked in park

Just took it to the dealer because a local mechanic did not want to mess with it. I believe that it is the crappy "pink thingy" that broke but they state that they have to replace the entire gear changer which is costing me $500. I hate going to the dealer for service!!!!...bunch of crooks.

I am beside myself that this appears to be a common problem with Chrysler products and it has not been officially recalled for repair. I will be filing a formal complaint with Chrysler and more if needed.

Well i would suggest that you look for a place where they can make the same shift cable and try to do it yourself. it can be that hard. it's all under the car. where your transmission to your shifting arm..

could be about couple of feet long.
