Question about 2000 Chevrolet Suburban

1 Answer

I have an 2000 chevrolet surburban , with power steering problems

The power steering turns easy to the left, but hard to the right and I bleed it also. I don't know if it's the pump or the steering gear.

How do you bleed the power steering pump lines? plz help. i have turned left and right and has plenty of fluid and still wining ?

It will bleed itself out eventually you can keep turning it back and forth or take it for a drive. It is possible that it is the pump itself and not just because there is air in it

I have a 2005 gmc serria with 60k miles, replaced the power steering pump, but after bleeding the pump and running for about an hr, the fluid burns and is hard to steer

OK, I would maybe try to jack up the front, and turn the steering wheel left and right a few times and check for the fluid level to make sure it's not low.

Try to bleed again, if necessary.

How does it sound?

FORD GALAXY 1999 2.3 NO POWER STREEING AFTER REPLACING BELT TENSIONER ONLY. .. FLUID LEVEL OK BELT FITTED CORRECTLY I CAN SEE THE PUMP SPINNING

you make have air in your power steering lines. full steer right and then full steer left this will bleed off the air in the lines.
If this doesnt work it could be a power steering pump failure

1992 ford f150 4by4 power steering only easy to the left hard to the right already replaced the pump and believe i've bled all the air from system.

To bleed the right line turn the wheel all the way to the right with the engine running. Once all the way right hold the wheel and shut the engine off. Let it sit for several minutes and restart. See it that does it. If not pop off your center steering link. If the wheel turns super easy in both directions, check front end components.

Can you bleed the air from the power steering system on a 99 malibu? The unit was making a lot of noise so I changed it with one I pulled at a junkyard. After starting the car and turning the steering...

yes you can, make sure fluid in power steering is full. jack up car and move steering from left to right, til it hits wheel stops. keep checking fluid level. when bleeding air from system, raise idle to about 1500 rpms. then turn wheel left to right. after done recheck fluid level.

How do i bleed air from power steering pump from 2006 gmc duramax 2500

Routinely, you just jack the vehicle enough to have the tires clear the ground and with the engine on, turn full left till it bottoms out....then turn full right till you bottom it out and then repeat up to ten times.....
