You need to remove the front passenger dashboard bottom panel to access the air filter. Look for the screws, bolts and nuts to remove the panel then "presto" you can change it.

What is the approximate price to change the alternator belt on a 2005 solara, if i went to the dealership

The dealer will charge you 3 times what it should be, and the small shop on the corner about $50. Unless it is a serpentine belt, then the belt will be $50. Hope this helps.
