Turning Signals keep blowing and signals cancel cruise control.
A while ago on of my turning signals on my car stopped working and when i jiggled it around a little it started working again, a couple days later it stopped working permanently. the same thing happened to the other side too. When the other side stopped working i notice that when ever the signal switch moved down cruise control shut off. My machanic replaced the bulbs in the signals and they worked fine again until the next day when my right back one blew out again and i was having problems with cruise once more. Anyone have any suggestions as to what it might be?

Check the wiring harness, especially the one that goes underneath the dashboard and steering column. There may be bad wires or loose connections that may have caused your cruise control to act up when turning on the signals or the brights. If that checks out Ok, inspect the speed sensor near the transmission. It may have gone bad.
sounds like you have a faulty turn signal switch. in your car the same lever can control lots of things, turn signals, bright headlights, flash to pass, not sure that's all, maybe the wipers too. so gm calls that thing a multifunction switch. can you change it yourself? maybe. will it be easy? depends on what else you have done. you have to take the steering wheel apart to get to it. i think your car is new enough to have airbags, so you have to deal with that. if you are still interested in doing it yourself i can give you a play by play, just trying to let you know you do run the risk of deploying the airbag so you need to decide if you think it's worth it.
use a scanner to check the abs system . most of the time the abs brakes and traction control system work together. your cruise control . unit has a servo motor .in front right fender well. check the fuse and relay also the cruise control brake release switch. and the brake light switch.if all is good you have a cruise control module problems. dealer ship job.
Hi.You have a short to ground. The cruise control wont cause the turn signals to fail cause they are in a seperate electrical circuit.Remove the bezel from under the steering colume nd look for any chafed wires.
