Question about 1997 Infiniti.5 Q45

Oil light flikers on

I have a 1998 Q45 and when I start it up she runs fine after running a while the oil light flikers on and hear a tap. I shut the engine off and start it up again it runs fine and sounds strong and after a while it does the same thing again. Checked oil and level nis fine.

Replace the oil prssure light sending unit 1st, if the problem is not fixed by this then have the oil press checked with a manual guage to assure that u have correct pressure..

Low oil pressure and tapping noise on start up it goes up but after running a bite it drop down to nothing


If the oil pressure does this as the engine worms up and not when its cold then you need to replace ur inserts and maines.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Today My Landrover discovery 1996 tdi 300i just had its dashboard oil light suddenly failing to go off after starting. There is a funny sound at the top of the engine which has developed and the engine oil...


The oil light is pressure not level. The noise at top of engine is most likely a valve tap. The oil isn't circulation through engine correctly. The problem could be a bad oil pump. Be careful driving the car you could cause major engine damage.

Even though my truck is not overheating, the temperature gauge will shoot up to hot and the oil light will come on. After a few minutes, the truck will not let me accelerate anymore. If I shut the truck off, it will reset the oil light and the temp gauge and run fine for a while. But eventually, it will do the same thing again. Is it a sensor or computer problem

Started up my acura tl 2000 and started to hear knocking and shut off


Check oil level and oil pump. Oil pump light should turn off after a few seconds after start up. If light stays on for more then 3 second shut off and do not drive or run motor.

Drop the oil pan and clean out the oil pick-up screen.
