Question about 1999 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup

Transmission fluid distick

I recently bought a 96' 5-speed chevy s-10 and it came without any manual and im trying to find the transmission fluid dip-stick but can not. Can anyone help? Thank you.

If the transmission is a manual there is no dip stick there is a plug on the top side of the gearbox which takes a large alan wrench remove plug stick finger in hole if you have fluid on your finger its full

It it a 2X4 or 4X4? Is it a 2.5L 4-cyl, a 2.8L 6-cyl., or a 4.3L 6-cyl?
It matters.

Check the fluid level. If it is okay, did you change the torque convertor when you changed the transmission? Sounds like one of the two is the problem./

Is it a 3 speed or a 4 speed. Can you tell where the leak is coming from. You need to add until it reads full on the dipstick when it warm and running.

check transmission fluid level first if it is full or if it is milky looking or smell cooked change the fluid and filter because the screen in the filter maybe plugged and not allowing the fluid to go to the troque converter
