The fuel pump is in the gas tank. more than likely you have to drop the tank to remove/replace the pump. I would contact you local dealers service dept. as some of those cars had an access panel under the back seat to access the pump without having to remove the tank.
If you have an access panel, it should be an hour or less job with common hand tools.
go into trunk and remove the trunk liner just behind the seats.....pull it towards the back of the car to remove.....look for a metal plate on the passenger side with several screws in it.....this is the access panel for the fuel pump....in the 95 riviera you do not have to drop the tank as the manual says......remove panel, disconnect ring that holds pump, disconnect lines and remove carefully......reverse to install....
it is in the fuel tank and this is a easy one. because most are not accessibly unless you drop the fuel tank! but on your vehicle it can be access by the access panel under the rear back seat bottom. remove the bottom of the back seat and you will see it right in the middle! unplug the harness , remove the panel and remove fuel pump and assembly up and out. good luck and if you have any more question please ask.real easy fix. good luck
You can access the fuel pump one of 2 ways. dropping the tank, or if your lucky, you may be able to get to it from the trunk, or under the back seat. You are looking for a round plastic access panel under the carpeting in the trunk or the seat.
