I really need to know what to do once I get the panel off to get the window back on track. I got the tool to remove the door panel just unsure what to do next. The track sounds like it has fallen down in there and the window slid all the way down in the door as well but did not sound like it broke. Any other suggestions? Thanks Sharon

I am sure that it did sound that way, didnt mean to be disrespectful, appreciate the help. I still need a diagram of inside the door to get the window on track again. Thanks Sharon

There are 2 screws just above the door handle you need to remove. Remove the plastic trim around door handle. Then starting at bottom of door panel pull out to disengage the push pin clips and work your way up both sides of panel. Then lift up on door panel to disengage the weatherstip on top of panel.

Thanks for trying? You specifically stated" I need to take the door panel off to get the window back on track but I need a door diagram can you help? For a 1998 Ford Expedition passenger side"

    .

Most people would take that as you needed to know how to get the door panel off.

Guess you won't be needing my help now huh?

How do I put the driver side power window back on track and the door panel for my 2003 Nissan Altima 3.5SE?

R/R the inner door panel, slide the window back on track, reconnect the window transmission to the window, (or reinstall the trans) bolt everything back together (window motor, window trans to door etc.) Make sure the window is in the UP position. use the switch to raise the window & keep it up if all is back together before finally installing the door panel ( make sure the switch & other plugs are plugged in before the door panel is reinstalled.) Lights etc. Good luck

I have an 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue and the driver side window is off track, how do i put it back on track?

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then pull back the weather seal and you will be able to put it back on the track. You will most likely need to buy some clips to secure it back on

1998 jeep cherokee laredo windows stop working then start again after turning off the car and waiting

sounds like the power window circuit breaker(most if not all cars use a metal circuit breaker instead of a fuse that can blow)is tripping becuse of a short or overload in the power window circuit.best bet is get ahold of a good wiring diagram for the power windows.also look for any tightness/binding in the window channels/tracks.and check all 4 doors by the hinges where the wires pass thru from the body to the door panels inside a rubber boot.

Remove the upholster on the door panel. then, loosen the bolt of the window mechanism..and also the bolt of the track of the window, so you can put the window back on its track. then, you can stabilize it by looking for the right adjustment of the mechanism.

If it slipped the track, something broke inside the door.
You have to take the door panel off and see what the problem is.
