The passenger side electric door lock works perfectly with the keyless and the switch. The driver side door lock can onlt be locked and unlocked manually. The keyless or the swtich in the car will not work for it. Any ideas?

Hi E,with key OFF, try spraying a little ELECTRIC CONTACT CLEANER from CRC or Radio Shack into space between switch & panel on driver's side, cycle switch back & forth 10 or 12 times.driver's side switch 'overrides' others ,if cleaner dosen't work, replace it first. Good Luck
The door lock/unlock
input from the driver's key switch goes to the Door Multiplex control
unit (main switch), the Door multiplex control unit then sends a signal
on the BUS (CAN) circuit to the passenger's multiplex control unit; the
passenger's multiplex control unit then controls all the door locks. The passenger's door lock key switch inputs to the passenger's multiplex control unit, if the
locks work from the passenger's side key switch but not the driver's
side key switch, the most likely cause is the driver's multiplex
control unit (main switch) not sending the signal to the passenger's
side multiplex control unit. This could also be the drivers side door lock actuator. Hope this helps!
this is a common problem if you use the seat heater alot.one or both of the seat heater elements will have burned up or broken.where i live it is very cold most of the time and i have replaced hundreds of the seat heater elements.it is rare for it not to be one or both of the elements.
