Don't know if this helps...but on my '89 it is in the very back on the left behind the pannel (where the tire iron is stored)

Double check the fuses under the hood.
If there is no problems there, you have to open the hatch trim by popping off the clips. Look for the connectors enure they are non corroded or loose.

2004 4runner rear wipe blade and fluid just stopped working, is there an easy fix for this or should i take to dealer

If your rear wiper, fluid wash, and rear defrost stopped working at the same time try this first before taking it to the dealer. Start the 4Runner and lower the rear window glass. Wait a few seconds and raise the rear window. Turn the engine off and wait a few seconds. Restart the engine and see if this helps. I had the same problem after I had my drive belt replaced and the shop disconnected the battery cable. When the battery cable is disconnected it causes the rear wiper, fluid wash and defrost to stop working. Good luck!

Have the coil or coil pack checked out..it may have faulty windings, and when it warms up from current flow it goes out.

Replace rear windshield wiper

I took it to a mechanis, who is a friend of mine. Toyota made that rear windshield wiper custom. So he took off the stopper and the screw in lock and I bought a 13" blade and we put the attachment on that came wih the wiper and slid it on to the arm.
