Question about 1996 Chevrolet Blazer
I have a 1999, chevy S10 with 60500 miles on it, while driving the truck it stopped running and after waiting awhile it started but would not continue to run. Checked to make sure the fuel pump was still working had alot of pressure on the fuel port, and made sure that it was still firing and it seems that the engine has both. Tried to start today and it started after a few trys but would not continue to run after a few minutes. What is the fuel pressure suppose to be, friend said that they had alot of problems with the wiring harness on this truck and that it would get corrision on the contacts between the fuel pump and harness, and will not continue to maintain the pressure while starting. how can I check the fuel pump and module on this thing. seem like it is getting not enough fuel to stay running and help would be appreciated.
Well i would try squirting fuel into the throttle body when it is in its not running mode. if it starts and runs you know the fuel pump is at fault .. or its not getting the right fuel pressure from it..
