Question about 1992 Buick LeSabre

1 Answer

The front vents on the dash do not blow out anything

1992 Buick LeSabre power everything, the front vents on the dash do not blow any kind of air and the owners manual is no help, are they supposed to? The previous owners even came to help but she said she always just used the auto button and set the temp and did not worry about it. Could there be a hose or something undone?

When looking at the back wall of the engine compartment (nearest the dashboard) you see the Maxi-Fuse Relay center. To the right of that, there is a smaller black box (looks like an extension to the MFRC). Underneath that, there is a vacuum hose w/a boot on it that should be connected to the wall of the engine compartment. Check that. Mine came of when my spark plugs were being changed. I suffered though almost an entire summer without A/C because of it. A/C would blow from the bottom vents, but it wasn't enough to stave off the NC heat and humidity. I hope this helps!

I have a 98 Buick Lesabre Limited. It blows Cool air, but not Cold. And also, I can't seem to make it blow out of the Center Dash Vents.

Cornelius, vent problem could be a pinched or loose vacuum line on controller, faulty AC vacuum motor, faulty AC programmer, etc. needs to be checked out by a good Tech, diagnosed and estimate on repair.
As far as vehicle only blowing cool air, issue could be blend door issue, plugged AC condenser core dirt/debris, low AC refrigerant, plugged AC lines internal, failing compressor, etc., again should be checked out, diagnosed and estimate for repair by a good Tech.
Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

92 Buick LeSabre Blower Door Closes after 15-20 minutes

I'm fairly sure that model still uses a vac control for the hvac. You may have a vac leak in one of the lines, the main controller, or one of the blend doors. The blend doors are under the dash and may be difficult to reach.

Heat and air are not blowing

Usually if the vent system is vac operated, the air will blow out the defrost if the system fails. I am showing a blend door actuator that could have stuck in one place. But it could have vac controls too.
If you can see the actuators that control the direction of air flow you can test them with a vac gauge and hand pump.
You may need to get a used shop manual to get the repair procedures.

1992 nissan sentra; front vents blowing only blowing. Defroster vents and feet do not blow any air.

Everything is under the should check for vacuum at the switch for the control that opens the air direction flap.

Heater not working in my buick lesabre air blow but its cold air

This sounds like the blend door actuator. This is a little door in the vent box down under the passenger side dash that opens and closes to change the vent temperature from heat to a/c. It is a little motor that opens the door. It tends to stop working due to the elements that it is in. I hope this helps!!! Thanks!!!

Air is starting to blow up instead of dash vents, 94 lesabre

Check all your vaccume lines. Whenever I have been working on mine and I accidently nock a line loose I can tell by turning on my AC and the air will only flow either from the upper dash or below not through the normal dash vents. It is usually one of the lines between the engine and firewall on the driver's side.

Air will not blow out of panel vents

vents are blocked so air is diverted to other vents, check and clean if necessary
