Question about 2000 Dodge Durango

Overheating at low rpms

I'm about to purchase my friends 2000 Durango which is currently experiencing overheating problems at low rpms, so far I have encountered MORE than enough people with same problem on the web, SO, is there a design FLOW in Durango's Cooling System?, has any aftermaket part maker resolve this?, Bigger radiator, Big aftermarket electric fan on A/C condenser side? I am deeply concerned if this problem is got a solution or is more of a long term headache I'm about to buy.

How to add r-134a to 2005 durango?

I am assuming that you already fixed the problem leading to have the leak. MAKE SURE YOU DON'T OVERFILL SYSTEM.

At your favorite auto parts you'll find a 134a gas refilling kit from which you can add gas to the system. It comes w/instructions, but I still want to give you some tips.

If the system is empty, with motor off, charge one can in and while charging the second one, start vehicle, turn A/C ON and set to MAX COOL. Step on gas to 2000 rpms.

If you just need to add some gas, start vehicle, turn A/C ON and set to MAX COOL, then, start adding the gas. Step on gas to 2000 rpms.

The connector of the filling kit fits only on the LOW side of the system, so don't worry about hooking it in the wrong place. Also, make sure the 134a can is standing straight up while charging system. Good luck.

What does P1768 mean on 2000 dodge durango

I got a strange code on mine once - don't recall if that was it - but it turned out to be the camshaft position sensor (it was shifting pretty strangely - RPMs jumping all over the place)

2000 dodge durango 4.7

two probably thing , you have a pluged radiator or the fan clush is not good, if when you are cruising it doesn' t overheating , but when you stop for 2-5 minuts it does, then is the fan clush, if when cruising it overheating then is the radiator . all this thinking that you checked the cooland level and changed the termostat with the correct oness

I have a 2000 dodge durango, I have a code P0320.

above me is right it's a faulty crankshaft position sensor. Hard to get this out so it may be cheap enough to have them change it at the shop. Only a $32 part
