Park neutrel switch is bad, under dash on steering colume. How many miles on tires maybe need balance, bent rim, better get front end chk. out. Alot of things can make it shake.

Cranks but will not start

Crank sensors and camshaft sensors are regular culprits for starting problems.

Best option is to get a mobile mechanic to do a diagnostic check on your car. Those guys are usually very good and it's worth paying for a diagnostic test rather than buying replacement part after replacement part in the hope of curing a fault.

Just curious, it won't start doing what? Mine didn't start this morning either until I put the key in the ignition switch and turned it. Could you please be a little more specific, ie, no lights no power, crank but no start, power but no crank,

The linkage has slipped and when i go to wash car I can't find neutral.

in the car wash turn off engine and leave shifter where you had it and car will go thru as if in neutral. then put it in park and crank to leave. the car will only start in park or neutral. you can find neutral by trying to start in all other position except park

Were is the starter cylinoid on a 2001 impala

You may have more than one problem.
How does the battery die out if the engine will not crank ?
If you have a good battery, and the starter does not crank the engine, you have a crank fuse and a relay in the box near the battery that would need to be checked for power. After that, power goes thru the park neutral switch on the transmission before getting to the starter.

Il.com i have 2001 saturn sl1, i have full power but will not turn over, no cranking, no clicking, nothing

If it is an Automatic transmission, try putting it in Neutral and retry. Sometimes they don't always get into park all of the way, and you can only start an automatic car in park or neutral.

Impala doesn't go into park

I suspect that there is a simple fix.
Under the car.... at the point where the shift lever rod connects to the transmission shift lever(s)...... loosen the nut on the Park transmission shift lever... and place the lever all the way into the park position.... You can confirm by attempting to start the car....
Once you are sure that it is in "Park", you can tighten the shift lever nut....
