Coolant boiling in resevoir.

It can be faulty coolant temperature sensor. Its not sensing exact coolant heat temperature so its overheating then required level.

-----------

Get the coolant pressure tested, its definitely leaking coolant. You will need to get the coolant running line.

Pressure test will help you to know from where exactly coolant/refrigerant is getting leaked.

My 2000 daewoo lanos radiator cooling fan control relay is not work. what can I do

If the relay is bad, pull out the old one and put the new one in. You can test power to the relay and to the fan as well. If no power to the relay, then the fuse or temp sensor could be bad.

2000 daewoo leganza is overheating, leaking anti freeze, and water. what is wrong?

sound like thermostat sticking close.replace thermostat and radiator pressure cap.if already done.you could have faulty water pump.if engine overheating at long slow traffic line or setting at a stand still.the engine cooling fans should be running, check and see if cooling fans running if not, check cooling fans fuses and relays.if all is good, hot wire make sure coolings fans okay.if all is good, code scan vechicle for faulty engine coolant temperature sensor and ecm problems.you need a code scanner where you can check live data check see if coolant temperature sensor reading correctly if engine coolant temperature is 190 degrees the coolant sensor. the scanner suppose to show 190 degrees in temperature if not it reads 80 or 90 degrees the engine coolant temperature sensor is faulty need replacing.if all is good check engine oil if look like milk shake blow head gasket will cause over heating.to be on the safe side i would replace thermostat and radiator pressure cap first.to make sure engine coolant circulating through radiator and engine block.

How do you replace a oxygen sensor?

For 2000 Daewoo Lanos 1.6L MFI DOHC 4cyl the Oxygen Sensor is located under vehicle, driver side, below seating area, mounted in exhaust pipe in front of catalytic converter.

Good luck (remember rated this).

Daewoo lanos 1998 model is overheating. i think i

sounds more like a bad thermostat ... if that has been changed then you can do a couple of tests to determine what is bad ... if the water pump impellers are broken then it wont move water inside the engine ... that will also affect the heater .. if the heater is working good then its likely something else ... to check the radiator .. open the drain valve at the bottom and see if you can run water easily thru the radiatorr . if you cant then you can have it flushed (pressure cleaned) for about a hundred bucks .. replacing the radiator is about 3 times that much . ..
if the car only overheats while sitting still then suspect the electric fan or thermal fan switch ... (the fan isnt needed as long as the car is moving) it should come on when tthe engine gets hot ... make sure you keep the water topped off ... if it goes dry it will do serious damage to the aluminum engine parts...

Daewoo lanos year 2000 se electric rad fan has stopped working.

Find auto the temperature sensor , disconect the two wires and make a "jumper" between them, use a wire equal or with larger "diameter" (section) as the sensor wires itself. Turn the engine on. If you have already checked fuse and relay and you 100% sure they're ok the fan must start spinning...be carefull with the fan blades. If not, you may disconnect the fan wires and supply energy straight from the battery. Be carefull again some sparks may come out and try not to short circuit the wires that may create another electrical/electronic problem, okay? Hope this can help...vmossmann from Brazil

2001 Oldsmobile Alero overheating

I think you started out looking in the right places. Replacing the coolant, thermostat, relay and sensor are all fairly inexpensive.

I believe you either have blockage in the system (especially if you're using tapwater), or your water pump may be failing.

I would first either take it to a radiator shop and have them flush the cooling system out thoroughly, or else pick up a chemical flush kit and do it yourself. This involves more than just drain and refill.

If this doesn't work, your next step will probably be replacing the water pump. At almost 200k miles, it's probably about due anyway.

Replaced cracked radiator in 2000 Chrysler LHS but car still overheating. What could be the problem?

fix the radiator first.because coolant temperature sensor need to be in antifreeze.when antifreeze get up to 190 degrees. the coolant sensor act as a thermostat.it resistance decrease then the pcm will command cooling fans to run.if antifreeze low the coolant temperature sensor not going to work. engine is going to over heat.

Changing the 02 sensor

There are two O2 sensors on the Lanos. The first is located on the front of the engine block, right between the two cooling fans. You need to remove these two fans and the heat shield to remove this sensor. The second sensor is located in front on the catalytic converter, passenger side, just in front of the front tire, and is easily replaced.
