The coil inside the distributor is breaking down its about a 10 min fix and user friendly.

92 Camero SOMETIMES wont start, backfires or starts rough - but will run fine after it DOES start


I would want to know if it is ignition or fuel for sure. There are a few things you can try to narrow down the possible cause.
What does the cap and rotor look like, and is the spark a strong blue when it is running rough ?
Have you checked the actual fuel pressure with a gauge ? Does it matter if you spray carb cleaner or starting fluid into the throttle body ?
Any trouble codes stored in the computer ?
Its possible the coolant temp sensor is wrong and the computer thinks the air temp is 90 degrees instead of say 20 degrees. Or there is moisture in the dist cap or on the plug wires, and so on.

No fuel getting to engine on 2007 2.4L Sebring


HI. The most common issue here will be with the on-board fuel filter. This device may be clogged with debris, which in return, has caused the fuel flow to be shorten, or slowed. The filter ,in most cases, will be located near the tank, under the vehicle. It will be mounted just to the front left, or right side of the tank, in between the fuel lines. Although this is a common cause, there are potential issues that may cause this as well. Check the following:

1. Fuel Pump- Check the pumps wiring for corroded contacts, and bad grounding. When you first turn your key to the start position, you should here the pump running for a short few seconds before the engine is started. This is an easy easy to confirm that the pump is working. Have an assistant turn on the key, while you are at the fuel cap(with the cap off). lean down towards the fuel fill area, and listen for the pump when your assistant turns the ignition to the on position(remember not to start the engine, just turn the key to the on position). If the pump dose not run for a short time, it may be damaged. replace if needed.Check the wiring and relay before replacing the pump.

2. Injector pressure regulator- Check the regulator for worn contacts, or ruptured diaphragm.

3. Injector(s)- Check each injector for worn harness connections, and correct pulse rates.

A code p0455 most likely means one or more of the following has happened:
-A loose or improperly affixed gas cap
-A non-conforming gas cap (i.e. not factory/original brand)
-Other leak or damaged piece in EVAP system

With a p0455, the most common repair is to:
-Remove and reinstall the gas cap, clear the codes, and drive for a day and see if the codes come back.
-Otherwise, replace the gas cap, and/or
-Inspect the EVAP system for cuts/holes in tubes/hoses (you may hear a vacuum noise or smell fuel), repair if necessary

As for P0201, the causes could be any of the following:
-Bad injector. This is usually the cause of this code but doesn't rule out the possibility of one of the other causes
-Open in the wiring to the injector
-Short in the wiring to the injector
-Bad PCM

Possible Solutions:
  1. First, using a DVOM check the resistance of the injector. If it isn't within specs, then replace the injector.
  2. Check for voltage at the fuel injector connector. It should have 10 volts or more.
  3. Visually check the connector for damage or broken wires.
  4. Visually check the injector for damage.
  5. If you have access to an injector tester, activate the injector and see if it operates. If the injector operates, then you likely have either an open in the wiring, or a blocked injector. If you do not have access to a tester, swap the injector with another one and see if the code changes. If the code changes, then change the injector.
  6. At the PCM, remove the driver wire from the PCM connector and Ground the wire. (Make sure you have the correct wire. If you're not sure, do not attempt) The injector should activate
  7. Replace the injector

Fuel pump noise smell gas while car is running 92 mustang


the pump should stop when it builds up to the correct pressure. if it continues to pump and you smell fuel then you probably have a fuel leek. normally fuel consumption will increase with a leek, even slightly.

1999 Silverado 5.3L hesitation ?


Filling it up with 92 octane will not help you so save your money to get other cool **** . If you want to put higher grade gas to the 89 ,but 87 will do the trick. Have you checked your pcv valve and hoses you might have a vaccum leak.
