Hi

If its auto trans, try starting in neutral.

Otherwise, sounds like the starter motor.

Test the live feed, to the starter motor, and solenoid, with a 12v test light.
If feed is getting there, a new starter is required.

Good Luck !
A FixYa rating would be nice please !

Hello, It sounds like you may have a driver recognition problem. Try locking and unlocking with remote only, then try to start car. If you find this information to be correct would you please enter a "fixya" rating.
Thanks, Gator241

09 mercedes c350 won't start able to turn ignition switch unable to shift no noise no nothing

I just went through this two days ago. You probably need a new ignition. What happens is these cars lose connection for some reason to the chip in the key and it can't be fixed with just programming. It has to be a whole new ignition. Mercedes are so much different then to any American car. Good luck and it costed around 950 to fix in Wa state.

1989 K1500 was running fine and just quit. Not getting gas but I can hear the fuel pump start when I turn the key on. took fuel line off of TBI and seem to have plenty of gas flow but nothing comes out of...

you need to have the fuel pressure checked with a gage and volume as if its not at the spec the injectors won`t open to spray enough fuel.also you should check the injectors for proper voltages and ground as if these are not within specs then the injectors won`t work either

The car wont start

There could be many things that cause this. I will start with the basics. Check all your fuses and make sure they are OK. Make sure you have a good connection at your battery. When you turn the key on, if you hear nothing, could be your battery or starter. If you have noticed dim lights, may be your alternator. If you turn the key on and all it does is crank, check your fuel pump. It comes on when you turn your key on, but not to start it. You should hear bbbbbzzzzz for a second or two. You might have to get in back seat or at your gas cap to hear it. If you hear nothing, it could be your pump. Could be your fuel filter is clogged, if you haven't changed it in awhile. You can go to your carborator and spray gas or engine starter in your carb. Try to start it. If it start and dies instantly, it is a fuel problem. The other is your igntion system. This includes spark plugs and wires, distributor, dist cap, coils, sensors, rotor, ect. They are all controlled by the ECM, your car computer. If your check engine light is on, you can test it for codes. That might help you pinpoint your problem. If not, start with fuses and make sure your engine is getting gas. I hope this helps. If so, please vote. If you need anything else, write me back. I know how you feel. Best wishes.

No check light car not starting

If it doesn't do nothing when you turn the key, probably a battery or starter. If it cranks, start with checking your fuses and relays. Make sure your car is getting fuel to the engine. If it gets plenty of gas, check your ignition system. This is spark plugs, cam sensor, coils, ignition wires, crank sensor, ect. The best way is to get your car tested for codes, if you check engine light is on. I hope this helps you my friend. If so, please vote. Thank you. Best of luck. If you need to ask me a question, just write back.

Sounds like alternator.Get it started then disconnect one lead from battery and see if it still runs. If not, then have your alternator checked.
