SOURCE: I need a free owners manual for a 2000 chrysler 300M

There will be a few minor differences between the 2000 and 2004, but for the most part, you can use the 2004 manual as a reference. Since it is illustrated, you can confirm visually when you are taking on repairs. I have owned a 2000 300m for several years. Might I recommend you visit 300mclub.org? I am a member there and have learned a ton about 300m's.

SOURCE: 2004 chrysler 300m 3.5L waterpump location and

Yes the water pump does run of the timing belt system.
Directly from the service manual:

The 3.5L water pump has a die cast aluminum
housing and a plastic swept vane impeller. It bolts
directly to the right rear timing belt cover using an
O-ring for sealing. The water pump is
driven by the engine timing belt.

REMOVAL
The water pump on all models can be replaced
without discharging the air conditioning system.
WARNING: DO NOT REMOVE PRESSURE CAP
WITH THE SYSTEM HOT AND UNDER PRESSURE
BECAUSE SERIOUS BURNS FROM COOLANT CAN
OCCUR.

NOTE: It is normal for the water pump to weep a
small amount of coolant from the weep hole (black
stain on water pump body). Do not replace the
water pump if this condition exists. Replace the
water pump if a heavy deposit or a steady flow of
engine coolant is evident on water pump body from
the weep hole (shaft seal failure). Be sure to perform
a thorough analysis before replacing water
pump.

(1) Drain cooling system (Refer to 7 - COOLING -
STANDARD PROCEDURE).

(2) Remove accessory drive belts (Refer to 7 -
COOLING/ACCESSORY DRIVE/DRIVE BELTS -
REMOVAL).

NOTE: The water pump is driven by the timing belt.

(3) Remove engine timing belt (Refer to 9 -
ENGINE/VALVE TIMING/TIMING BELT AND
SPROCKETS - REMOVAL).

(4) Remove water pump mounting bolts (Fig. 31).
Note position of longer bolt for proper re-installation.

(5) Remove water pump body from engine

SOURCE: 1999 chrysler 300m wont crank, code P0340

Sounds like the timing belt broke. Unfortunately this vehicle was not equiped with no contact valves so if that is the case you will need to have the engine and Head rebuilt. If the crank position sensor can't sense the position of the crank it should shutdown the electrical to keep you from damaging your engine.

Does a 2001 Chrysler 300M have a fusible link?

Your vehicle has two boxes of fusible links, but none of them magically repair if you disconnect the battery.

Check for DTC trouble codes.
Check the grounds on the negative battery to the body work.
You probably need an auto-electrician.

Whistling noise under my 300m chrysler 2002 only when i start it or sometimes when im driving it change already the serpertine belt sometime it does the noise sometimes it doesn't also does not overheat...

Noises are very hard to diagnose without hearing them. Typically, if it was a belt, the pitch would change with RPM of the engine. Whining noises can sometimes be attributed to an idler pulley, alternator, power steering or waterpump bearing going south.

2004 chrysler 300M when I first start it up it has a ticking noise then it goes away what is it.

I have a 2004 Chrysler 300M that makes the ticking noise when first started . . . if you turn the heater control to completely off the noise stops . . .leave it off for about 3 to 5 minutes and then turn it on and it will be gone. . . my chrysler dealer repair service manager can't understand it and didn't believe me when I told him. They tried to tell me it was my motor mounts. My 18 year old daughter figured it out. go figure!!!

2004 chrysler 300m, speedometer and tach lights go out sometimes and stay off. the next time i drive the car they just might be working, intermittently they work.

These cars are very finicky when it comes to the electrical components. We have a 2001, try this: Make sure the battery is tightened down good. Because of the battery location on these cars, there is good chance that ****** is moving around and the connections are coming loose. What we did was remove the battery clean it and the terminals and then put it back in, and every thing has been working since then. I hope this helps. It would be a good idea to get a service manual for this car just in case. Here is link to an inexpensive one. Chrysler 300M Service Manual.
