Question about 2007 Dodge Caliber SXT Sport Hatchback

1 Answer

Dash lights and rear/front running lights wont light up.

When I turn the headlight switch to its first position, where only the dash, front and rear running light are supposed to light none of them do. I then turn the switch to the position for turning on the headlamps and I only get the headlights to either high or low beam, no dash or rear running lights. I have checked all the fuses, and all are good. In all of the Caliber's manual I can not find a reference to either dash or running lights. I need to get this fixed because I can not use my vehicle at night for fear of having another car ram into mine. Rear brake lights are working fine, so are the healights. If I use the dimmer switch, both the dome lights and map lights work fine. Would appreciate any help I can get. The dealer is not worried about my problem, only about how much money they can stiff me out of., This is part of Chryler's big problems, as soon as I can fix this problem I will sel the car and buy some other that will be helpful with their clients.

Check all the fuses in the fuse panel and under the hood, use a circuit tester or DMM

Signal lights dont work and want to know where the fog light switch is at

With the switch in sidelight or dip

position, pull the switch to its first

position to turn on the front fog lights.

Pushing the switch in or turning it to OFF
or AUTO will turn off the front fog lights (this is for the front)

With the switch in any position except

2001 Monte Carlo SS 3.8 v6 Rear park lights are out as well as the dash lights, brake lights work headlights work front running and park lights work, all turn signal lights work. replaced headlight switch...

Park, Tail, Marker Lamps, and License
The park, tail and marker lamps, including the license lamps, turn on when the headlamp switch is placed in either the PARK or the HEAD position, or anytime the headlamps are requested. The RT I/P #1 fuse in the RH I/P fuse block supplies battery positive voltage to both the park lamp relay switch contacts and to the park lamp relay coil circuit. The park lamp relay coil is controlled by the body control module (BCM). When the headlamp switch is placed in the PARK position, the BCM energizes the park lamp relay coil control circuit.
Current flows from the park lamp relay switch to both front and rear park lamp fuses and to their respective park/tail lamps. The front park lamps are grounded at G101. The rear park lamps are grounded at G302. The license plate lamps are a part of the rear park lamp circuit and are grounded at G302. The inadvertent power control feature prevents the park lamps from remaining on more than 10 minutes if left on. If the park lamps are turned on after the ignition switch has been turned OFF, or is in the ACCY position, they will remain on until turned off or until the battery runs dead.

05 colorado, running lights in front work when swicth is on auto...no running lights in back, brake lights work and bulbs are brand new...the insturment cluster lights also are not working, once in a blue...

In the AUTO mode, the lights should only work when its dark. in the day light, the only lights that work are the DRL (daytime running lights) (Headlights) All the lights should work when turned on MANUAL, EVERYTIME. You may have a bad connection, but it needs to be checked on MANUAL when the problem is present.

1994 grand Am Dash & Rear Lights

Check all the fuses, if they're ok then check the switch or wiring, it might be that the wire running from the switch to the park / dash lights is fried. Does the front park lights work? (turn switch to first click, not second one. This is park lights, second click is full on headlights) Your park and dash lights are probably all connected to a single wire from the switch via the fuse box.

1989 Cadillac rear lights stay on

It may be a turn hazard module under dash.that is the culprit! The power to the third brake light does not go through the module, but the rear brake lamps power is controlled through this module. I am looking at a drawing of one and it looks like it has two connectors with about five wires in one and six in the other. It has some cooling fins on it also.
