Driver side power window stuck down

My 2003 3.4L base chevrolet impala driver side power window is stuck down. i have already replaced the the motor and switch and that still didnt fix the problem. i have been told that it is some type of module in the door that communicates with the computer. anyways i need to know if there is any way to remove the door panel and just manually pull the window up so that i dont have to drive it around and freeze to death. i just dont feel like spending 300 to get that fixed until i have it paid off in may or so.

thanx to anyone who replies!

You can take the panel of to get it up but you are going to have to remove the motor first - while you are there you might be able to replace the part that is bad on your own for a couple bucks by going to a salvage yard and buying the part if it is too expensive new.

It is the most common problem of all vehicles with power locks or power windows, a wire has folded back and forth for 10 years in the door hinge area until it got stretched and broken. Possibley many wires. In your case only 7 years.

It sounds like your power window motor or cable or both could be bad or it could be the window itself is not in the track like it should be. There is a real good video on you tube that goes into more detail (how to replace a power window motor & cable on a Chevy Impala)

If the buzzing is sound is coming from the doors, then the motors are going bad. If the buzzing sounds like it's from under the hood, then check the relay switch and see if it went bad and needs to be replaced.

2005 chevy impala rear driver power window stopped going up.stuck

If neither switch works it is a bad connection at the motor or bad ground or a bad motor. Remove the door panel unplug the motor push the switch and see if there is 12volts on the wires if there is the motor is bad There are small brushes in the motor that go bad tap on the motor while pushing the switch if it works that way replace it
