Question about 1998 Dodge Caravan
What is the Proper Way to DEGREASE my ENGINE @ the Car Wash Degreaser Station?
I'm told car washes sometimes have degreaser guns for degreasing engines!
Can I degrease the whole under-carriage?
Should the car be running?
Are there any precautions I should take?
What is the proper procedure?
You should not have any problem if you don't concentrate on the electrical components. What i mean is stay away from them as much as possible, and don't use alot of pressure wear you can blow things off. Myself i do it at home with a can of degreaser and a garden hose, If you do it at a car wash take a can of WD40 with you incase it stalls or wont start after you do it,WD40 displaces moisture, you would be better off doing it in your own driveway if your aloud too. You can wash any part you want. watch your paint on car, some of that degreaser can take off paint.

This is how i degrease my car engines, I spray degreaser all over the engine, I leave degreaser for 5-8 minutes then i start the car, then get a garden hose and wash the engine while the car is running. been doing so for 3 years never had a problem, if you wash the engine whit the car off you will have a very hard time starting.
