Question about 1998 Lincoln Town Car
Please help! My car engine has been making a buzzing noise for the past few months. It's starting to buzz a little longer each time. Also, the battery light comes on then goes off. My drivers side and passenger power windows do not work. They stopped working about a year ago. What do you think is my problem? Also, can you recommend the least expensive route.
Um based on what your giving me I can only assume the battery light is goin on due to a heavy load on the alternator and its not happy. probably die from the buzzing noise?(possible air compressor due to a lean in the air ride?) but thats a guess. the battery light will go on when voltage sensor gets less than 12.5 volts. when the buzzing stops does the light go off shortly?
i doubt the windows have any thing to do with it, unless for some odd reason they are drawing power the whole time your driving around. get your alternator checked before you get stranded. im sure there is something causing extra stress, or its just the alternators time to die.
