Humming noise when driven

I am having a slight humming noise when I drive my 2002 Saturn Vue. The noise is on the left and right side. I had replaced the left side of my wheel bearing but the noise still remains.

It could be the bearings werent packed enough with grease or it could be the tire making the noise.

I have a saturn Vue 2003 with 150,000 miles. there is a loud humming noise when driving coming from the rear of the vehicle. I have rotated tires and balanced. Tires have 65% more wear to go. Muffler...

Based on your description: 150K+left rear slowed down much quicker than the right +/ and the humming noise, there is a great possibility that the Wheel Bearings will have to be replaced.

2002 Saturn Vue V6 AWD sounds like an F1 car when i drive it. Very loud constant noise. Checked trans fluid and it was fine.

I have a 2002 saturn vue. Same thing..sounded like a jet engine ...loud humming as I accelerated . It got increasingly worse. It turned out to be the front wheel bearings. Replace them, now the noise is half as loud...have to do the rears also! 93,000 miles on it. Also, don't forget to replace the timing belt. It it goes too long and breaks, it will trash the engine...

2002 trailblazer making loud humming noise when driving

When you turn right - you're taking weight off the right wheel.
If the noise dissipates - the passenger side wheel bearing is most likely to blame.

Thanks

Hub bearings, notorious for these, expensive parts. They go bad on the front and the rear.YOu need to find out which one is the noisey one, maybe more than one.I had a customer that we had to replace all four on within 6 weeks.Hope this helps

Humming noise

check your tire tread, it may be worn in a choppy pattern and causing the noise. if your tires are smooth, then you have a wheel bearing problem

I just had my wheel bearings replaced on both right and left sides in the front of my 2002 saturn vue. My vue sounds very loud when I am driving. What is it?

Vues are bad for having all hub bearings make noise, check your rear ones.Or the ones you didn't have replaced. If it's all wheel drive check the propshaft center carrier bearing.Common to fail & make noise.hope this helps
