Do you have an aftermarket system or both well as an O.E alarm?

check your lock switches on the car. usually one of them can be stuck due to cold weather, or just went bad. if you have one lock switch not working then that wil most likely need to be fixed. before you continue. or you can remove the connector to the known bad switch. without doing any indepth testing there is not much you can do without having someone test anything else.
hopfully its something easy. There could be a few otherthings but it would need to be more in depth.

Door locks keep engaging while I drive.2001 Montana extended van.I leave it in the garage unlocked and come back later to find it locked. What is the problem?

most gm cars engage the door locks when the vehicle is in gear and is up to 12 miles per hour. Not aware of an ease way to prevent the locks from engaging when moving. Really can be annoying but not such a bad thing these days with car jacking and other crimes to have the doors lock.

My central locking is fairly dodgy

check the cable going to the driver's door by the driver's door lower hinge. check for a wire that is damaged.

Randomly locking doors and sometimes continuous clicking leading to battery drainage.

If the locking seems continuous and almost glitchy I would buy new locks for both front doors. If it seems to be one timing lock and not acting glitchy then it most likely is a interference with a security alarm at that point I would disconnect the fuse for pwr locks as a quick fix.

Toyota matrix remote not unlocking car - battery is new

Check to see if your central locking still works on all doors and that you can also operate the driver's door central lock motor.
This can sometimes be an issue with the door lock motors themselves and not necessarily the key.

Doors lock themselves for no apparent reason

I would check the battery in your car remote . I had the same issue where if the remote was within 50-70 feet from the car my doors would lock or unlock and sometimes the remote start would turn the car on randomly. The battery was my cure.

I have a 2003 Hyundai Elantra. The remote locks the doors but sometimes it won't unlock the doors. I have to go to the passenger side, press lock on the remote, then press unlock (I can hear the 'clicks'...

Possible issue with the remote controller unit - main board or sub assemblies. The intermittent behavior seems to indicate that the board is erratic to detect at the same time the individual locks work at times.
So make sure all the connectors to the door and to the main board controller are tight. You can remove the main unit and check for any loose connections or clogging, specially water in all the door units or in main unit. If so dry and test.
Otherwise the main unit is a suspect.

Remote not working, why

Sometimes they just stop working, idk why, sometimes the battery dies. Try this: lock the doors with the switch in the car - turn the from off to on without starting the car eight times ending in the on position - the locks should unlock then lock themselves - then press unlock on the remote - the lock should unlock - turn the key to off and remove then try the remote again. If nothing happened, replace the battery and try to program again. if that doesn't work, get a new remote.

My Honda CR-V EX 2005 doors lock by themselves. Occasionally, after you unlock it with the remote key, it locks itself before you can get in. It also happens sometimes when I unlock the car, then open the...

They all do it, its part of the security system that all the doors lock after a minute or so from unlocking if you don't open the driver's door.
It prevents you from accidentally unlocking the car door while walking away and clicking the remote in your pocket, the car re-locks on its own.
If you open with the remote then open only the rear door, the other doors all lock and when you close the rear the alarm goes off.
What fun we have!

Door locks open by themselves randomly

some possibilities

The power door locks may self-activate or cycle on some vehicles. This may be caused by a misadjusted front door lock linkage, excess solder in the front door power window switch, water infiltration of a potential open wire harness connector inside the front doors, wiring harness chafe on the door check strap, or a damaged Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) key fob.
