I agree with what you said check the injector and the line going to the injectors coming up back by the firewall and it may be one of the o-ring on one of the injector and if all of the injector are dry checkout the intake manifold.

Have you checked the fuel pump relay to see if it is sending power to the pump ? The computer grounds the relay when the computer "sees" oil pressure or engine RPM.

Smell gas, cant see any leakage

We were smelling raw gas in our vehicle and didn't notice any leaks. It turned out to be a vapour leak coming from the return line behind the throttle body. It's worth a check.

2001 kia sportage is over heating but has no leaks. the radiator has been flushed but is very rusty inside. The water is rusty inside the radiator. We have checked the resevoir, it is fine. the water...

Rusty is from running a bad or no mix of coolant. (PH level is off) You may have a water pump that has corroded impellers, and can't move the coolant as well any more. I would start by making sure to flush the engine block again, and make sure you flush water through every possible hose, and where you can get at it.

My friend, raw gas - fuel vapors. Do you know that one gallon of gas will push a 4,000# block of steel about 20 miles?

Please have your Kia dealer investigate and repair this discrepancy for you.

Smell of gas while driving

If you smell gas while driving, check for leaks first.
Look under the chassis near the gas filler neck. Check under the hood for raw gas odor around the engine. If your hoses are not leaking, your car may need a tuneup. It could be burning too rich.

I dont know why gas would be "seeping". if its leaking, thats a problem. have the fuel pressure checked, if its low, the tank will have to come down for possible fuel pump replacement, and the leak found and corrected at the same time (possibly the fuel line is leaking back there?)
