Question about 1995 Buick LeSabre
I just replaced my upper intake manifold on my 1996 buick park avenue. I notices a large amount (at least 8oz) on top of the lower intake manifold. Is this normal or is my engine about done?
Its a common problem, but it has to be adressed before your engine is done. That oil is comming out wear the distributor wonce was. The plentem, or what you call upper intake will have to come back off, in order to get the plug out to chg. the rubber O- ring on the plugWhen you get it out it will look like half a distributor with the gear on the end and the O- ring towards the top. Its located right under the throuttle on left side of engine where the trans and block meat. There might be enought room to get it out without pulling the intake i'am not sure. But thats where the oil is comming from manny an engine has tied up because of that leak.
