SOURCE: Cruise control, and radio controls on steering wheel, now air bag
The problem is the coiled ribbon contact under the steering wheel (we call it the clock-spring contact) that connects the stereing wheel controls to the steering column wiring harness, this is a printed circuit that is coiled to allow the wheel to move and still have a psychical contact for the wheel switch's and the airbag, anyway replace that contact coil, u must disarm the airbag to do this repair, follow the factory procedure to do this or serious injury can result if the airbag fires.
SOURCE: something broke inside my steering column and air bag light is on
it is the clockspring it is nothing to worry about i would get some cat 5 wire coil it up and wire it in there because the clockspring is very expensive part in have replace them using cat 5 wire and never had any problem after

You have a clock spring problem!!! No problem to replace just remove steering wheel but you may want to make sure the steering column is grounded first
SOURCE: air bag light stays on & horn does not work
replace the clock-spring ribbon contact under the steering wheel, that is the problem, u have lost the connection due to a broken ribbon contact.

ok the most common guess would be the rotating flat ribbon contact under the steering wheel that provides a moving connection to the airbag from the steering column wiring. the part is called a clock-spring contact, it is coiled up and winds and un winds as needed when u turn the wheel, they are a very common problem in all airbag equipped cars, no matter the make or model, they all use a similar part.
Dodge shaken syndrome 2007 mega cab 2500 ram most people
call it the death wobble. One thing for sure is they have it half right however
it is far from a wobble. In my opinion a wobble is something like a farmer
pulling two hay wagons at ten miles per hour with a bad wheel bearing, but not
so harmful at least you could see it coming. Now this shaken syndrome is way
more serious. When you drive in stress waiting for it to happen again every
crack, pot hole, and bridge overpass is a possibility. I can't run the speed
limit I am afraid of our safety, although you can let someone behind you
because when it happens you have to slam on your breaks so hard and almost come
to a complete stop. The shaking is unbearable; you can really understand it,
unless you experience it yourself. I never experienced anything like this in a
vehicle in my entire life. The dealerships say it could be multiple things, but
i have covered all of them options. In my opinion it is the scissor steering
components that dodge calls the "y type". They must have thought that
something was wrong because in 2008 they changed their steering to know what
they call the "T type". I know what the right thing to would be to
sell this truck and get a different one, but two things come to mind when i
think of this. First, I wouldn't want anyone to get hurt anymore then myself,
and secondly unfortunately I do not have the money to buy another truck. I
waited my whole life to get a truck of this caliber and now i am so
disappointed. Please for all the viewers if you have a truck that has the
shaken syndrome, please help to get these parts recalled.
