Does it have an end that looks broken? Does it look like it is a ribbon that has wires in it? Is it a column shift car?

SOURCE: Cruise control, and radio controls on steering wheel, now air bag

The problem is the coiled ribbon contact under the steering wheel (we call it the clock-spring contact) that connects the stereing wheel controls to the steering column wiring harness, this is a printed circuit that is coiled to allow the wheel to move and still have a psychical contact for the wheel switch's and the airbag, anyway replace that contact coil, u must disarm the airbag to do this repair, follow the factory procedure to do this or serious injury can result if the airbag fires.

You have a clock spring problem!!! No problem to replace just remove steering wheel but you may want to make sure the steering column is grounded first

SOURCE: air bag light stays on & horn does not work

replace the clock-spring ribbon contact under the steering wheel, that is the problem, u have lost the connection due to a broken ribbon contact.

SOURCE: 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan Air Bag Light comes on intermintently.

ok the most common guess would be the rotating flat ribbon contact under the steering wheel that provides a moving connection to the airbag from the steering column wiring. the part is called a clock-spring contact, it is coiled up and winds and un winds as needed when u turn the wheel, they are a very common problem in all airbag equipped cars, no matter the make or model, they all use a similar part.

Remove steering wheel lock 1985 chevy celebrity v6

no problem...you take off the cover in the middle of the steering wheel being able to access the bolt to remove the steering wheel. If you don\'t have a steering wheel puller you can rent one from a auto parts store but i just leave the steering wheel bolt on a few threads and hit it with a hammer pulling back on the steering wheel. It should come off after 4 or 5 hits. then take out the blinker assembly (couple phillip screws). So

now you have access to the pin. If you can\'t get that pin out with a needle nose or plan on putting it back in then you\'ll have to dig in deeper. There ya go for the short versioin. Don\'t listen to people when they say jerk the wheel really hard to break that pin, you;ll just end up breaking other things and don\'t think ya need that. but taking out that pin wont do anything (the only thing behind it is a spring) Good luck.

Knocking noise around the front passenger wheel area!?

Do you feel it in the steering wheel? if so it could be the intermediate steering shaft. If not it could be a sway bar link or bushing.

We have a 99 dodge Durango bringing up codes po123 and po443 and it runs pretty good but after driving for a bit it just dies then start up again and dies again we have changed pcv valve, fuel pump &...

Code 123 is for a problem with the throttle position sensor circuit. So if you have replaced the sensor, either it is not calibrated or there is something going on with the wiring back to the computer.
Code 443 is for the EVAP purge control circuit. Same thing if you have replaced the purge solenoid.
You could also have a problem with the engine computer. You'll need a shop manual to get the testing procedures for each code.

Violent front end wobble on my 2007 dodge 2500 4x4

Dodge shaken syndrome 2007 mega cab 2500 ram most people call it the death wobble. One thing for sure is they have it half right however it is far from a wobble. In my opinion a wobble is something like a farmer pulling two hay wagons at ten miles per hour with a bad wheel bearing, but not so harmful at least you could see it coming. Now this shaken syndrome is way more serious. When you drive in stress waiting for it to happen again every crack, pot hole, and bridge overpass is a possibility. I can't run the speed limit I am afraid of our safety, although you can let someone behind you because when it happens you have to slam on your breaks so hard and almost come to a complete stop. The shaking is unbearable; you can really understand it, unless you experience it yourself. I never experienced anything like this in a vehicle in my entire life. The dealerships say it could be multiple things, but i have covered all of them options. In my opinion it is the scissor steering components that dodge calls the "y type". They must have thought that something was wrong because in 2008 they changed their steering to know what they call the "T type". I know what the right thing to would be to sell this truck and get a different one, but two things come to mind when i think of this. First, I wouldn't want anyone to get hurt anymore then myself, and secondly unfortunately I do not have the money to buy another truck. I waited my whole life to get a truck of this caliber and now i am so disappointed. Please for all the viewers if you have a truck that has the shaken syndrome, please help to get these parts recalled.

Don't see where to put power steering fluid at!

Usually located at the pump. With most cars there is a resavoure behind the pulley. Vans are famous for tucking things away so as a last resort follow the hose from your rack back to the pump and if there is another hose coming from the pump follow it to the resavoure

My 2007 dodge ram aotomatic is making a humming noise when i drive

Hi Cathy Rosa, you don't give much info...does it increase with wheel speed or engine speed? Could be drivetrain issue or just a tire gone bad. Have a garage check all of the fluids and recomend any filter changes to rule out certain fluid related things. If you could give just a hint more info when it happens it would help diagnose the cause. Can you feel it thru the gas pedal or steering wheel? It's the little things that help narrow down and rule out certain problems. Good luck..

I just replaced my turn signal switch in my 82 not 84 rampage. it works fine but when I replace the steering wheel, the horn honks and won't stop.when I look at the switch, I don't know how it...

I don't have a diagram, but if I understand what you're saying, there is a copper ring at the top of the steering column, visible before you install the steering wheel. The copper pin is connected to the horn button. The intent being that when you press the horn button, it completes the ground from the steering wheel through the horn button, through the pin, to the copper ring.
If this is correct, there should be no contact between the steering wheel and the copper ring other than the pin. Check to see if there may have been a spacer (washer, etc) below the steering wheel on the steering shaft that holds it just far enough away from the copper ring so that only the copper pin makes contact.

2000 dodge intrepid stalls while driving no engine light comes on. While I'm pulled over, I wait 2 minutes, It's starts right up and I on my way. It does not happen again for a couple of days....

Locate your relays that has to do with the fuel pump and starters. When this happens again, take a screwdriver handle and tap on them lightly, so that you don't break them. If the vehicle starts remember the one that you taped on, and you can replace it. If this doesn't solve the problem, consider replacing the PCM. It is a last resort since it is very difficult to diagnose the PCM if it is at fault since it has to be tested at the time that it is failing and since it is intermitant; that would be a challenge.
