2008 Colorado Airbag Deactivation
I own a 2008 Chevy Colorado Z71 Ext. Cab. A Rear Facing baby seat will not fit in the rear ext cab seat. The only place I have for it is the front seat, but I do not feel comfortable having the airbag on with the baby sitting there. I know the truck has an on/off swith I'm just not the brightest at these things and was wondering if anyone knew how to turn the airbag off? Any suggestions will help. Thanks!

usually you can insert your key in the slot thats near the airbag light in the dash and rotate it to turn it on and off

for my gm friends with newer vehicles (06 and up) if its anything like my truck there is a sensor in the seat. anyone or anything over 50 lbs. will trigger the sensor to turn the airbag on. otherwise the passenger side is always off. if that doesnt work, pop out your owners manual.
