Question about 2008 Chevrolet Colorado 2WD
I own a 2008 Chevy Colorado Z71 Ext. Cab. A Rear Facing baby seat will not fit in the rear ext cab seat. The only place I have for it is the front seat, but I do not feel comfortable having the airbag on with the baby sitting there. I know the truck has an on/off swith I'm just not the brightest at these things and was wondering if anyone knew how to turn the airbag off? Any suggestions will help. Thanks!
For my gm friends with newer vehicles (06 and up) if its anything like my truck there is a sensor in the seat. anyone or anything over 50 lbs. will trigger the sensor to turn the airbag on. otherwise the passenger side is always off. if that doesnt work, pop out your owners manual.

Because of the different drive shafts used on different optioned trucks go to your after-market...Napa etc store and give them your specs on your truck.....they will give you that info relating to their part # s for YOUR truck.

umm not sure on the 02 but sounds like u are looking at the passengers side air bag light when that lights on means there is a problem with it and its not working so if its off that would be the problem and the reason it turns on some of thiem have a x2 symbol on thiem to let u know its the passenger side
